that way a simple forum search will pull up any duplicate comps which then get merged. I'm not sure how you would spot them with your method, as you don't seem to use this forum as the rest of us do:confused:

Thank you, so maybe this is where my daft moment happens. I do use the forum-but Im stumped on the search thing. Of course I know how to look for stuff on the forum, but in my mind what I need to do is search for all the posts where I've pressed the thanks button (which I also do often) But I never can figure out how to search for these. Or is it just a case of going into each new thread and checking if I thanked the OP?:o

Hiya I have a little question - but before I ask it I want to make it clear I'm not being an ungrateful sod! :rotfl:

I won a DS lite and 2 pokemon games from Tv hits! the other day and it has just arrived this afternoon(YAY!!).

When I opened it up though I discovered it was actually the american version of the games and american DS with a 2 pin plug! This doesn't really bother me as you can buy the socket adapters for a couple of £'s, I was just curious whether this was a common thing with electrical prizes?

Many thanks again to bhafc and all of the other posters who find the compys for us, and for everyone who takes the time to do the daily ending lists too! I can just imagine how much work goes into them, especially at the end of the month! :T

Personally I think I would email them, I've certainly never had an electrical prize without the UK plug on it. That is rather strange tbh, I'm sure others would agree.

I recently won a dvd which was ntsc (I think that what it was anyway) and it was from the same site you mentioned - but they did say as the prize was provided by FOX US you needed a multiregion dvd player for it.

But I would say its not very common!

    ;)

The prize came straight from the Nintendo Press office(with a little note to tell me to enjoy gaming!!) so maybe it was supplied by Nintendo in America?!

I wont bother emailing them as I dont want to sound ungrateful(which I am definately NOT!!), and possibly be blacklisted from their competitions?! Can they even do that?!

Besides which, they are already hiding in the attic to be supplied to my Eldest son by Father Christmas when the time comes! :rotfl:

    Thanks for the replies!

Are competition prizes getting cheaper due to the credit crunch? What do you think?

Hi all, just a quick question have any of you used your virgin experience vouchers on the case of wine. If so how does it work, have loooked on the website and in the booklets but cant find out if you need to go somewhere to talk to the wine advisor or if it is done on the phone. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know anything about this site:

    http://www.topfox.co.uk ?

I've come across a few comps on this site, but have pulled back from posting through being unsure as to whether it might be a spammy site.

If it is, I'll ask Velvetglove to add it to the list she has in the Guide. icon5.gif
