Thanks for the comments chaps. I do search and use the order by functions of the boards already. I just like the ending tomorrow lists as they help me mop up anything that I've missed
I was trying to helpful, honest !! (come on cut me some slack I'm a newbie round here :-) )0 -

I'm not sure if you noticed this post from Kipper earlier Laura? I will pm you as well, as this thread can move fast.I'm here
Assuming Laura hasn't had a reply from divadee to say otherwise, I'd say go ahead and post 30ths now and 31sts tomorrow at some pointPut a note on it saying I said so, incase people get the grumpsMy light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly
Our Precious Baby Tianna has now joined our Family, she is much loved and very welcome, xxx0 -
If people choose to post competitions, then this is great and thanks to their dedication. However, this should be done out of choice, not because they feel they have to. After all, it is supposed to be for fun, and I am sure that many posters find it enjoyable to post competitions but it will, in all honesty, put people off to think that this is what is expected.
New members who are only working their way through the forums should not be feeling uncomfortable not to 'contribute', especially at the beginning. It takes time to settle and understand what is going on here. They should do so at their own pace.
I would also like to add that not many people have the time to post competitions, especially since this requires a thorough search. In most cases, many of the competitions would have been already posted and looking for them would be a waste of time. It is certainly very kind of those to try hard, but again, this should be a choice and those who are more restricted in terms of time should not feel any less welcome.
If new members feel under pressure if they win or if they have not posted competitions, then it would not be a surprise that there will be less people who join these forums.0 -

I think Ginjim just meant has the OP tried searching for competitions themselves, not just relying on the ending threads0 -
I understand, and it is not against ginjim (removed the quote so it does not sound personal). I have noticed some show this attitude towards new members.0

Let's not carry this on any further, there are far less friendly places on the internet (in fact this place is one of the more friendly that I have experienced). All internet forums (and email) tend to suffer from a lack of non-verbal communications and newbies who don't know just how many times some of their questions have been answered by older-hands. It's best to take it on the chin and move on.
Let's all just get along and get on with business of posting and winning those comps !!0 -

Oh no ! now I've come over as bossy. I really ought to stop posting or at least use loads of smileys to indicate that I have some sort of sense of humour0 -
