I haven't weighed into this latest discussion about the 'Comps Ending...' lists yet. I didn't support it in the beginning & still don't support or use it now. I just tend to ignore them to be honest.

I have seen the tone of the forum change since these were introduced & although some people like them as it saves them 'personal effort' I still don't support the lists. I comp as a hobby in my spare time & if I miss a comp then blimey, there are about 50 others around the corner

I'm even more against them since seeing the sniping & also members b1tching about where the lists are & why haven't they been posted yet! Also the comments about 'oh this will take me all day!' like it's a chore!

I'm also pretty miffed that a lovely, attentive member who contributed a lot to this forum has felt victimised & been left needing to 'take a break'


I'll live with whatever but personally I'd prefer a return to the way the forum was before those lists came along.

But of course it's perfectly fine for his members to post comps from here....on there! How hypocritical! There's been at least two comps I have found (& posted on here) in the past two weeks that have appeared on their forums after I posted here. I use the comps ending but didn't actually notice the comps ending threads until about a month ago (and I got back into comping in March)! If people are big supporters of comps ending then loquax does offer this very facility! :rolleyes:

As mentioned earlier, searching for comps by end date would be so much easier if people used the right format E: xx/xx

i'm sure it's something he's not happy with it either way he is protecting his website.

at the end of the day its just not forum etiquette and you will get it everywhere eg deals found on hukd and later found on the grabbit board etc etc

people like to be recognised with posts and thanked accordingly not stolen from
