the prob i have though is with the doctors. only when i gont to a&e for him to go on the nebuliser, which he didnt, the doctor looked in his mouth, first one to ever do this, and said he has viral tonsilitis and said this was probably causing the wheezing. cant see this myself as surely thats like razors in your throat and he hasne whinged at all.

but anyways, it *touch wood* seems to be getting beter slowly so thats a good thing i hope. it still could be an allergy, im wondering maybe to his forumula. seems purry after a feed. or maybe even to the dog though they have limited contact. the dog has grown wise to keep away from bubba and chops wont leave him alonbe.

  • i've got some cousins with very bad asthma and they have always been tiny. i don't know if there's a link, just keep asking for advice if you're worried i suppose. my nephews all have terrible asthma and they aren't tiny. so i'm talking rubbish because i'm tired lol!

mine is going through the terrible 2's at the moment and it's much harder than i expected. you read all the info and you think you will always be a positive parent and will never snap or lose your temper and say the wrong thing, but their tantrums can wear you down and it all seems so stressful.

i took roo to to a playbarn last week because he was just driving me mad but i had bad asthma and couldn't really cope with the park/farm etc. and i wanted to be indoors. is that an option, would chops play on her own if you took her to a wacky warehouse? they usually have toddler sessions where the parent is allowed into the ball pits if needs be, but the kids usually play okay without a parent, and all the kids are under 5 so they don't get knocked over by bigger stronger kids.

my being ill was affecting roo, he is like a puppy who needs regular exercise. a bit of climbing and swimming through balls and he was a totally different child.

but chops being demanding etc. is all normal for her age, it's just that a trip to a playbarn might break the cycle if you are both cross with each other. i had pms last week and i was a grumpy cow so i wasn't dealing with roo's challenging behaviour in the best way.

  • it wasn't me - i didn't mention CF because i didn't want to alarm you :o my tiny asthmatic cousins were tested for CF. it turned out that both of them were carriers, so they now have that info for the future but they don't have CF. the eldest had growth injections when he went to high school and i think the youngest will have them too. he's going to high school this year. i think the child has to be 12 to have the jabs.

My dd was the same with flies - now when I see one I do my sing-songy voice (all mums have one of these lol) and say stuff like "oh look at that lovely fly" etc etc and she seems a bit calmer with them. I do the same with spiders as Idon't want them to be scared like their daddy!

Behaviour - yes my dd was the same and still is sometimes. I found that putting her outside the door of the room we were in helped as I couldn't keep her on a naughty chair or step - at least putting her outside the door you could keep her their a couple of minutes- it was the lack of attentionthat bothered her most.

Keep firm sounds like you're doing a good job.

Don't worry bout your 5 month old - just get it checked out and set yur mind at ease. Nothing sets you worrying like kids

My dd2 is also scared of flies, spiders and bees. She gets very hysterical about them and then shes too scared to go near the spot she seen them even when theyve gone.

Its arund this age they develope fears inc nightmares so dont ignore her when shes scared it will make it worse. imagine how you would feel if you were scared of something and the one person who made you feel safe ignored you.
