For Money have you tried putting in the original disc to and running install to see if it has a repair feature? This should repair your installation and sort out any problems.

Or if you go into "Control panel" and then "uninstall program", select the program and select the "change" option it might give you a "repair "option in there.

I agree for the money program but only do a repair if you get that option.

You could find where money stores your data and save that first or rename the file so it does not get replaced.

DO NOT REMOVE MONEY Unless you have your data saved/stored somewhere else.

That is the problem removing spyware as they can take over normall files needed and used by other system programs.

It would have been nice if the "experts" had known that too

£60 worse off and left in a mess.

Thank you all for your advice. I am just having a careful think about it all as I am so nervous about making things worse rather than better. My experience of having a go at things on my PC usually ends with me getting to stage where I am completley lost and bewildered. Your suggestions though are a huge help.

I am concerned that i do not seem to have the option of doing a system restore as in my earlier e-mail. When I go for this option, the screen is just blank.

I supose I should take it back to them on Tuesday and say "you sort it" but somehow I have little confidence that they would do it. Will my poor little PC ever be the same:rolleyes:

Another little point ... there is a blue light on the front of my Packard bell PC. This normally flickers a little but since it came back it is flickering so fast and continuously that it is really annoying out of the corner of my eye. Why did I take it to them :confused::confused:
Thank you for this site :jNow OH and I are both retired, MSE is a Godsend

This sounds like the hard drive activity indicator light, perfectly normal and the reason for the increase may be that any new anti malware software may now be scanning the hdd or old software has been set up by the "experts" to do so.
You will probably find this may stop after a while.
