I would disagree its a debit card still by looking at what a Deferred Debit Card is.
Quoted from the Caterallen website
With our VISA Deferred-Debit Card funds are not debited from your account until the date of your statement, which means you can continue to earn interest on money you have already spent.
On some of our accounts we can offer our prestigious Cater Allen VISA Deferred-Debit Card which means that you can continue to earn interest on money spent for the rest of the month. When you spend, using your card, the account balance shows the card transactions as pending so that the true account balance can be calculated. For interest purposes the card transactions are not applied to the account until the statement date allowing you to continue to earn interest.

I think you would need to be a high earner for this type of account0 -
Most private bank requires a minimum relationship balance of £1 million. Premium banking from high-street banks (i.e. HSBC Premier and CitiGold) requires a relationship balance in excess of £60,000.0

I would say Alliance and Leicester aka Giro Bank, they issue at minimum a Visa Debit card and cheque book with their current accounts, I have ok service with them, and their call centres are all UK based.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -
I have been with Halifax for the past year and have nothing but good to say about them. They issued me with a Visa Debt (no CG) and cheque book and gave me an overdraft which they have increased when I asked them to without credit checking me.0
