Hi

Just wondering if anyone had good or bad opinions / experiences of redemption deals with Phones 4u. I've had numerious deals with Carphone warehouse and The Link without any major issues and just wondered what peoples opinions were, before I potentially take up a contract via them!

Many Thanks.

  • Hi, I actually work for Phones 4u in the audit department (it sounds boring I know!). You just need to make sure you read and follow the instructions and terms and conditions on the claim form you’re given then they work really well and can save you loads of money! A few of my friends have them and they've never had any problems getting their money as they’ve just made sure they send their forms off on time. The cheque back claim form you’re given when you buy the phone tells you when to claim by so just make sure you put these dates in your diary so you don’t forget them and then you have 60 days from each date to make the claim. Some people think it’s difficult to claim but it’s actually really easy. You just have to fill in the claim form and send it back with your most recent mobile phone bill (just some advice but you might want to keep proof of posting to show you sent back your form just in case it gets lost in the post!) We’re offering instant cash back on loads of deals as well so you can get the cash there and then in store without having to send off anything. They’re also doing cash back deals where the money goes in to your account within 28 days of buying the phone (as long as you haven’t cancelled the contract during this time of course!).

I’m happy to answer any questions you have about cash back if you want to drop me an email (steven.cross@phones4u.co.uk ) or our customer service department have an email address you can send your questions to if you prefer (talktous@phones4u.co.uk <mailto:talktous@phones4u.co.uk>).

    Cheers, Steve

I also work for P4u, but in a store as a sales consultant, the main reason I have found that people haven't been paid is because they have left it too long or haven't sent their froms away. You also get 60 days with P4u which is a long while, considering that Carphone and others only give you 7 days to send your forms away!!!
Saving for a lovely summer holiday. Will it be Evesham or Egypt???

What utter rubbish. E2Save have never allowed less than 28 days to submit; provided people know and follow the t&c they actually signed up to. Until recently Phones4U had an appalling reputation; perhaps those who throw stones should ensure they know what they are throwing.

What qualifications do you need to get a consultant's post at P4u?

Clearly either no knowledge of the competition in your own market, or the ability to lie to customers with great conviction and authority!

Lol! Wow Quentin - a bit strong for you, isn't it? Sorry - made me laugh though and is true of course!
  • Although I can’t comment on other companies cheque back offers and policies, I can say with confidence that ours at Phones 4u is definitely 60 days from each date to make the claim. As I mentioned before, just make sure you don’t forget to send off your form, read the form in full and keep a proof of postage so you can prove you sent it in case it gets lost or delayed in the post. If you do have problems with the forms though just drop me an email and I’ll be happy to help you out. Steve

Great thanks very much, just have to wait for a deal that interests me now. This post has given me the confidence to do the cashback again.

I think its great that "The cheque back claim form you’re given when you buy the phone tells you when to claim"
