Does anyone have any ideas to avoid. This? It doesnt help thats its in the middle of no where!!
One thought I have had is to park at a local train station, where there is free parking and train it!!! There are good links by train to birmingham international.
Or maybe it is cheaper to park at Birmingham Airport???
If I find any good ideals/ideas. I will post here.

It's cheaper to park at the railway station and walk across, but still £6-ish. I think Hampton-in-Arden station has free car parking (please check this). There are 2 trains every hour to the NEC (at 16 and 46 minutes past the hour) and 1 every hour on a Sunday from there. The journey takes 4 minutes.0 -

Thanks so much for this Peppermint' ... I was wondering how to avoid ... I was going to price up trains full stop ... see if it would be cheaper overall ... I have a super economical car tho' so ... it gets 60-70 to the gallon on the motorway ... but heavens ... with the diesel price currently at nearly £6 a gallon  it may be worth it on the train ...
I will seek out Hampton-in-Arden tho' see the wheres and hows ...
Thank again ...
PS ... Good News indeed about Monty ... sorry to see him go ... he has been the only credible presenter since Geoff popped his gardening boots ... Alan Titchmarsh is a waste of video tape ... Thanks has anyone managed to book a anyday ticket or do you have to put down a day as I would love to go but am not sure which day it will be and I cant get the code to work on the anyday tickets. I have been before and its a great day out but I would take your own food and drink with you as its expensive there but then again you might as well just help yourself to the free samples of food as there are lots of them.0

Hi Irisrose
Unfortunately none of the promotional codes work on the Any Day tickets ... even the £2 off ones ... You will need to pick a day I am afraid ... however I cannot imagine that you won't be able to leave it until the last minute as you can print at home if you desire ...
Hope this helps

Thanks for codes for tickets - great prices.
You can park free at Canley or Tile Hill - both a short distance from A45 SW of Coventry. Trains from there take 10 -15 mins to Birmingham International (for NEC) they run every half hour, probably less on Sundays and a cheap adult day return is £1.50. So it could save you a bit depending on how many of you in car. Definitely less hassle than driving in and parking, tho nowhere to offload those heavy bags!0 -

Thank you very much ... I assume you mean park at the railway station?LittleBill ... "The riches of a man can be measured by what he can do without"0 -
Yes there are fairly large free car parks at both stations. Canley is nearer to the A45 but slightly further away from the NEC (about 15 mins)0

Wow! What a saving! I almost purchased these tickets at 17.50 each plus £1 booking fee, that would have cost me £36 for me and husband, with the NEC code it only cost £19.50 in total!!
Thanks so much, birthday pressie for hubbie sorted!
