    An excellent thread LittleBill :T

I would also like to know (from people who've been to the show before) if it's worth going without buying any tickets in advance, hoping to find people offering them for a very good price, at the entrance to the show. I remember some people posted here or on PTS that they never bought tickets in advance, they either won them in comps, or got them for (almost) free from those who were selling them at the entrance to the NEC. Are there usually many people who sell tickets the way I've just described?

Really interested in attending this year's show (never been to the show before :o). I need 3 tickets, which would cost me £15.50x3 at best

Just to keep the code list updated (I know this code is not much of an offer, :o it appears that there's a £1 booking fee): code GFR, which gives a £2 discount. This code is taken from the 'Easy Italian' booklet which accompanies the July issue of Good Food mag.

Thanks for the additional code MBN ...

As I have said before MBN .. I have heard this too about 'cheap' tickets on the day ... Could anyone confirm ... or deny ... this?

Thanks also 'Thebrow' ... Nectar point tickets would be good however I do not have a Nectar bean ... will have to rely personally on hard cash for mine ... Can you remember when they became available last year? ... MBN said they went on and off the Nectar site very quickly

I am also hoping that Martin might put up a free batch soon as he has with most of the other shows this year ... however I am afraid I may be crushed in the stampede ...

Here's hoping ... Night Night MSers

    Hello All ...

Was having a surf about and found this ... no use for this Good Food Show but will get you a half price ticket next time around ...

BRING YOUR OLD MOBILE PHONE TO THE BBC SUMMER FESTIVAL AND SAVE £££ (WHILE WE SAVE THE PLANET)

We are aiming to convert thousands of old mobile phones and accessories into cash for our environmental project partners by arranging special offers and discounts for visitors who bring their old mobile phones to the BBC SUMMER FESTIVAL, taking place at the NEC Birmingham between June 11th and 15th this year.
With incentives such as discounts off dining and merchandise at the event itself and 50% off the next GOOD FOOD SHOW, we hope that thousands of you will be inspired to take part in this mass recycling event.
Everyone who recycles their old mobile phone(s) with Coolaworld (Stand H292) will be given a COOLACARD, entitling them to special offers and discounts at the event, including:
    • 25% off food in Dining Experience
    • 25% off BBC Merchandise
    • Half-price entry to the next Good Food Show
    • A free hand, arm and back massage from Origins Organics.
    • Free Strawberry plant seeds from SE Marshalls worth £10
Plus the seeds and massage wouldn't go amiss .... :^) .... Now just to find a phone ...

Wooooohhhhoooooooo, ok folks, go for it, type in the code NEC for a ticket costing £9.75 plus the £1.00 booking fee so its £10.75 per ticket.

I'm going with my 2 children who get to go free on either saturday or sunday, so for 3 of us it's £10.75 in total.:j:j:j

TIP IF TAKING CHILDREN, ring the number on the website, give the code NEC and then say about taking your children. Children go free (one adult can take 2 children under 16 on either Saturday or Sunday only) but they still need a ticket. Hence I couldn't figure out this on the website so I rang and spoke to a human.....sorted. Three tickets on the way, I paid for 1 ticket only. Hope that makes sense.

Now going to rush off and get train tickets as I think as I may be sampling some beer at the beer festival as well.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thats more money to spend on food and drink...unless anyone has good blagging tips of course!

I've just bought 3 tickets for Thursday 12th June using the code above: total cost £29.25 :jI would have loved us to go during the weekend, but hubby will work on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, so I ended up buying tickets for Thursday. Can't wait to go, I've read so many great things about the show :j

This is a fab offer, thank you sooo much Triker
