Hi there, yey clap2.gif loved the show, it was brilliant and my 2 girls had a great time too.

Firstly I treated myself to a trolley, best ever thing I've bought in a long time. Took the pain out of lugging everything about.

Re the MOC booklets, got a few, my girls were so keen to add they kept getting a few more here and there. Bless 'em. The girls handing out the booklets were more than keen to try and give as many away as possible and one said if you any more we've left some boxes under the sign for people to help themselves.

I saw a few folks really going for it, must admit wondered how their arms didn't drop off with the weight of booklets they were carrying.biggrin.gif

So obviously more than enough to go round.wink.gif

Managed to meet Levi Roots which I got all excited about, my girls got his autograph and a photo with him and I got 2 bottles of sauce and a few MOC's.

The carte dor stand was great, found ourselves mysteriously back there 3 times. Great ice cream giveaway and we managed to bag a few Mocs here as well but they were giving them away 2 at a time.

Sadly I was driving so only sampled 1 very generous Gordons Gin and tonic at about 11 in the morning. The amount of alcohol samples were brilliant, just a shame I couldn't participate.smile.gif

Got some goodie bags when we lft which had small bottles of CIF, Bold samples(both with mocs) cheese and onion crisps and Listerine.

Also got enough free yeast to bake 1 million loaves.eek.gif

Free magazines, free chocolate, free bags.

Saw James Martin and the Hairy Bikers, and Monty Don.

TBH we didn't get round all of it because our feet ached and the rest of the show outside was huge. 'Spose I should have looked at the map.

There were some amazing displays of fruit and veg, garden designs for small spaces, flowers/plants of all kinds.

Surprisingly my eldest DD was particularly taken with the Bonsai section. We'd never seen them 'live' before and they were truly amazing.

After a quick reckoning up back at home I have more than made my outlay back in MOC collection but saying that it was the show I wanted to go for, the MOCs were an extra bonus.biggrin.gif

Going to make sure I go to the next one, with my trolley bag.wink.gif

If you like food/drink/gardening/plants/flowers/quirky designs, I'd go for it.

It does get packed though, very crowded.

Oh and many were selling their fruit/veg/plants off at 4.30pm but we left before then.

    Hi Triker ...

I am so glad you enjoyed the show ... sounds like you had a great time ... I got a signed bottle of sauce from Mr Roots ... Now the question is do I use it? ... Thanks again Triker ... :^)

... and to all who got tickets ....

I would just like to say that without Trikers lateral thinking we would never have found these cheap codes ...

It would be lovely if everyone who benefited from these cheap tickets ... took a moment and 'thank'd' Triker's post above .... :T

  • Just found this thread!
I went on Saturday and had a fab time, i think it is well worth the costs (although i was lucky enough to win my tickets this year), though reading through this i must have missed several stands out - didn't see the bread/yeast stand nor the gin and tonic:mad:

My son though he was in heaven, everytime he said he was hungry (every 10 mins!) i went to the ice cream stand:p

I would highly recommend to all - it is a great day out as you get to see a bit of everyhting - garden/home/food etc.

Can I just mention how much I love my trolley bag, which is in no way an 'older persons' trolley type of bag, mine is uber cool......literally, its insulated.:rotfl:
