Hi !
have just completed my first grocery challenge !! unfortunately I went over 20.00 over my target of 250.00

and I am going to try extra hard next month to get within my budget !

Try it! I did & have cut back dramatically!! What's good is that you know what your shopping will cost! you can also take stuff off if you spend too much! Great if you're an impulse buyer like me!!!
You can also get discount vouchers (from this site) which gets you more money off!20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

I have to admit that shopping via internet does make it easier to stick to a 'list'. I don't shop online all the time, but will do so when we have either little time, or are expecting the girls to stay for a while.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Hi again everyone,
Just thought I'd update on how I am getting on so far.
Well, half way into my first month I have used exactly half my food budget -£1.00 so I guess I'm doing ok. I still have loads of stuff in the cupboards but need to buy meat & veg for this week.
My little brother has been lovely and cooked for us quite a few times, he is a professional chef and is living with us until February next year:)
Hope you are all doing good so far!
Hugs,

Hi All,
Well I've kind of started Novembers challenge already, as I start on 20th of Month as this is when OH gets paid, so most of the shopping will be in November rather than October.
Anyway, last month I had £75 per week x 4 weekly shops, this month I still have the £300 but I want to stretch it to 5 weekly shops, so I have £60 per week.
This week I have spent - £59.21!!!! yay!!!!
I so love this challenge!
Included in this was £4.99 for a wild bird feeding kit for my friends Xmas gift, and two packs of charity Xmas cards at £1.79 each (all from Aldi). I have knocked off the halloween masks for my DD's (Im a mean mom and I made them pay for them themselves - well they have more spare cash than I do!)
The challenge will be to see if we can last all week on what I have bought and what we already had without buying anything else.
Prior to starting this challenge I was spending £80 - £90 per week.0 -
i am just off to tescos and lidls to do my last grocery shop for october
my aim was £100 but i think it will be about £105 which i am not going to get upset about : )0 -
Well this is my final shop for October as I get paid on Wednesday (yippee!!!!) so here goes:
Spent £9.10 at local SPAR yesterday, topping up on milk & things I'd forgotten ( ) to order on-line.
Tesco shop delivered tonight, total £57.61!
October's total therefore £253.06 this is £3.06 over budget but I think that's fairly good really!
November is a 5 week month for me so I think I'd better up the budget slightly. November's budget therefore £300.00 (£60 per week:D )20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

Well done, everyone! Despite a long w/e self-catered break, and 2 guests for 5 main meals expected this week, things are remarkably under control. Theoretically, there’s enough food (might need a pint of milk, some rice and an extra veg) in the fridge/freezer/larder to last until next Monday, and there’s still 19p in the budget! So, hopefully won’t need to go over budget by more than £1.0

Once again I managed to stay under budget for my shop at the weekend. From my calculations I'm about £25 under budget this month, which is rather good for me. I'm still working down the freezer, but I suspect that I'll have to top it up next month.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
