I think you will find Roadhog and Psychy that offensive posts are not allowed on this forum - they were not just slightly nonpc as psychy claims - and it personally offended me actually - I was not just complaining because it had offended someone else. Telling ME to get a life - I think you should try and be more aware of your own comments first. Also if your comments weren't as offensive as you claim them to not be - then why were they deleted by the abuse controller?0

#I am with you kazzea - we certainly do not need stupid arrogant and offensive remarks from Psychy or anyone else. How does one go about reporting offensive remarks.0 -
At the top of every page in the orange box where it says posts are not monitored - there is a link to report abusive, offensive etc posts0

PCW do have the odd bargain every now and then. I got the half price Packard Bell laptop from them back in March. It was a bargain at £289. It was an even bigger bargain for me, as they never took the money from my credit card. Picked up a Garmin I3 yesterday for £199. I'm happy with that, considering Maplins has sold out.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

Ripperoo wrote:Anyway, it was marked up at what I reckon was an artificially inflated £44.99 which made it seem like a bargain.
Seems you are right, as that particular KVM is £5 more"in store" than the other KVMs including those with audio! Dodgy!
However, I did get an equivalent graphics card to the one I ordered from e-buyer for £3 less considering they wanted to charge me again for P&P. Plus there's nice people you can actually go and shout at if there's a problem, rather than just bawling at the PC (e-notes, what a joke)

"Come on psychy and rthirlby and wapow - apologise now - you should all be ashamed of yourselves - I am reporting you all anyway" Page 2
Excuse me, But what did i say to offend anyone huh? This is my original post :
"LOL Thats a wicked line cant wait to take !!!!!! outta work babes LOL any hoo
Right, I dont know squat about whats hot and whats not on this list so i was wondering whether some of you might be willing to shed some light onto this.
What would be worth buying on this list which will last me at least a year and whether there will be even bigger price cuts elsewhere so i shouldn't buy from here and, where im such a gaming media heavy guy i was wondering whether the graphics and sound cards will be able to cope with the newer games about to be released on the PC??
Thank Youuuuuuuu" Page 1
Thats all i said and about the line, well i was just saying how i might use that and where i use it and to whom is none of your concern as long as it isn't meant to you or anyone here which it wasn't! Make sure you get it right wannabe.
So does anyone have an answer to the above post? No one seems to have posted what i could use especially for heavy eneded games any help would be appreciated!
Thank Youu0 -
Depends what your budget is... look at the soundblaster Audigy range for sound and high end nVidia graphics cards with 256MB RAM for graphics... I have the xfx 6600gt graphics card and Audigy 2 sound card with THX. Sounds great and looks great with Doom3 - these are recommended by computer mags and Im not sure PC world does the graphics cards.Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:0

PCW doesn't sell XFX cards - they have big tie-ins with BFG and PNY and seem to promote their cards rather than some of the specialist ones. Having said that many of the reviews of 6600GTs say they are all similar in performance - the only differences seem to be how much you can overclock them.
BUT - many of the PCW graphics cards are overpriced instore anyway which is why I started this thread. You just need to keep an eye out for when they decide to drop a range, in which case they sell them off for silly prices to clear the shelves. Last year I picked up a few FX5700 Ultras for £39.95 each when everyone else was still selling them at £100+, and they had a phase of clearing out Netgear routers and wireless cards at silly prices for a while when they were getting rid of the 54MBs boxes. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -
Hi,
We should have a thread on the Money Savers Arms where posters can go and fight, wouldn't you all agree?
This would keep threads informative and unhindered by bad remarks. All that would need to be said would be ' Rizla, I'll see you in 'The Ring'!
I bet that thread would get a hell of a lot of viewings cos I reckon it'd be good for a larf, too.
Anyone that agrees then email the controllers to see if they would oblige on a trial basis.
(I have but they seem to not be too bothered about providing a solution to this for-ever occuring problem)
