What waas the phone number that was called and was it called in the middle of the night ? I was wondering as there was a similiar thread on here the other day that I will try and find where the person got a huge bill for a call he never made.

Ring them back and tell them that you are not paying and that you want it fully investigated.

Tell them that you want the IMEI number of the phone (identiy number of the phone) that your sim card was in that made the alledged call and you also want to know what cell was used (every cell/mast you log onto to make a call etc has a different identity).

Do you know if you made any calls around that time?
Do you use different models of phones with your sim or just one model?
Were you at home all night or were you out and about?

    All the best.

O.k I have found the thread

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=925755

Similar sort of thing and number by the look of it, although when he tried to call them number back the line was dead, so maybe try dialling the number off a payphone and see if the call connects, if it doesnt then you cant be charged for a 2 hour call if you cant connect to it, I will also find you someone to contact as you may need to contact somebody other than customer services to get it resolved.

    Premium rate phone services

Premium rate services give information and provide entertainment over the phone, for example, weather information, competitions and message exchange services.
Premium rate calls cost more than ordinary phone calls, and can be especially high from mobile phones.
The phone numbers of most premium rate services start with '090', and services of an adult nature start with '0909'. On mobile phones, text shortcodes prefixed by 2, 6 or 8 that are 4 or 5 digits long are premium rate services. Directory Enquiry services which begin with '118' are also premium rate numbers.
If you have a problem with a premium rate telephone service, or have been wrongly charged for using a premium rate number, you can complain to the premium rate services regulator PhonepayPlus. PhonepayPlus have a number checking facility on their website which allows you to find more information about premium rate numbers that appear on your telephone bill. They can also give you advice about what to do next. For more details about how to contact PhonepayPlus, see under heading Useful organisations.

Hope some of this helps and keep us informed

They will be able to tell you what calls were made in April or it will be on your bill or online.

You do need to ring cust services and demand to speak to manager to investigate this.

I have heard of it before where some1 has been charged for calls that were not made from his phone, when it was fully investigated they refunded the charges.

They can and should investigate this for you but they will only do this if you demand it. They just hope by cust service saying that the call was made that you will accept if - dont accept this without proof that the call was made from your mobile.

Ask them for the IMEI number of the phone that was used to make that call and compare it with the IMEI number on the back of your phone under the battery (get that info before you ring them).

They should also be able to tell you where the cell is that logged the call. EG if youre in Scotland and the cell is in England then obviously theres a problem (a bit extreme but you know what I mean).

Don't give up - demand an investigation!!
