i would reccomend moneysupermarket.com i always find they offer a cheaper quote than confused.com although i always search with both but deffenatly use a comparison site my last quote on a 1.6i clio 21 years old with only 1 years no claims and 1 years licence held was only 411 a year with 1st quote insurance0

My DD who is 18 has her car insurance in her own name with Virgin. She pays £89.00 a month for a 6 year old ford fiesta. That was the cheapest quote we got and they don't charge any extra for paying monthly. When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile

What is the car? Insurance can be greatly reduced with a change of car. www.ecarinsurance.co.uk is also worth a try as well as those mentioned above.0

Thankyou to you all for such a large response, and I am definitely going to try the comparison companies and individual companies you have informed me about ... It seems likely that I will be able to get this quote a little cheaper than £1850.00.
I forgot to mention the car she has .. its a Ford Fiesta 1.25 Zetec Blue on a 57 plate, which I guess could hinder things .. Also I was informed by a friend today that with her holding her full licence for only 9 months could also push up the quote considerably. Some days I wake up Grumpy ... Other days I let him lie in.0 -
Like all car insurance the cost will be higher the newer the car as well as her age and lack of driving experience.

Try Endsleigh, my car insurance was around £750 on a 1.3 06 Yaris having held my licence for 1 year and pass plus. I was 19 at the time and I also have my father on the policy as a named driver. Prior to that I was with Churchill on my fathers policy and it cost over £1000 with the car being a 1.0 X-reg Micra.
However call them to get your quote, the quote they gave me online was double that but someone called later on to give me a reduced student quote. I tried several comparison sites and plenty of insurers websites, none of them came remotely close to the deal I got from Endsleigh, all were over £1000 with the cheapest being around £1200 and the most something like £3000.0 -
I personally found the admiral group of companies very competitive when a new young driver. Elephant, bell direct and admiral themselves are all part of this group.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/2000

Elephant came up trumps (think there is a little pun there somewhere) at just under £1000.00 .... Well chuffed :jSome days I wake up Grumpy ... Other days I let him lie in.0

Have to agree with 24ctu, Quin Direct defenently came up cheaper for my son. He paid £1090 for a 1996 Fiesta which reduced by almost half the second year. It also made it cheaper adding myself and my husband to the policy.0
