Estate Agent told me not to buy for six months

I know nothing about psychology whatsoever ... but I bet it's a stage of betrayal. The more I think of this the more baffled I am
Why would somebody whose livelihood depends on selling houses say 'don't bother buying for 6 months'......don't get it meself, especially with the number of EA closures and the lack of mortgage products strangling the market.
He's probably feeling betrayed by everybody and everything at the moment. Dragging himself into the office each day, wondering if each is his last. Sitting through half-perky sales meetings where people are trying to be upbeat, but each is looking around wondering who will be "the one" to go first.
Answering the phone, not wondering if this could be a buyer that will make him the commission he needs for that holiday in the sun next summer, but instead dreading picking it up in case it's a buyer pulling out ... as not only has he lost the commission he'd already mentally spent, but his next task would be to take abuse from the seller.
He's betrayed but having to go through the motions. Looking out for what he sees as a kindred spirit, somebody he feels he can confide in, to share his pain. A spot of empathy in the middle of an otherwise pointless day/week/month ... and now it seems, existence.0 -

Maybe he was 'off duty' in a pub
It is easy to let stuff slip after a couple of pints

That means my bread talk is allowed then.Lotus-eater wrote: »Oi you, back to Old Style for bread talk!.......... besides we don't talk about things that rise here, only falls
!!!!!! didn't even mix, never mind rise. And second one rose but was welded to the paddle so had to eat it by scooping it out.
So, under your rules, my bread is valid.
