Apart from the fact the item was already registered with logitech, how could the seller be adamant that all the pieces were in the box if the box was sealed? Surely that would mean they un-sealed it to check it was all there - in which case it's certainly likely that pieces could have been taken out?

I know that the seller has been unhelpful and abusive but is there a chance that they really believe that you have 'pulled a fast one'. I quite understand why you would not want a replacement after the e-mails you received.

If you did however, go down the replacement route (making sure that it was sent via a trackable method and replacement opened in view an of independent witness) and it was still not right I would have thought that this would mean you could make another claim with PayPal.

As has already been suggested I would contact the original registered user.

good for you, so what payment method would you have used that would have automatically given you your money back at the first request?
