Went shopping yesterday and spent £53 which wasn't too bad. Also filled up car with petrol which cost £31 which should be for the last time in about 7 weeks! Made sarnies for work this am as I've been incredibly naughty this new year and have been buying stuff everyday-i know ive only got 2 days left at work but so silly to be throwing money down the drain. Need to sort out DS's birthday party-it's in Feb but want to get it sorted now. i've shifted my halifax balance onto my MBNA card as the 0% had run out and MBNA is 0% until august and interest on the Halifax card was horrendous! I am so knackered it is untrue-can't wait to leave work and can't wait to have the baby now as I am walking funny now!

Last day at work today. Off to Tescos at lunchtime to buy farewell cakes for my workmates as it is also my birthday on Saturday-I'm also going to get myself a new foundation. I got one as a free gift from when I held my body shop party-an all in one face base but think it is too dry for me as it seems to flake off-nice! Lets face it-I'm going to need a lot of foundation to make myself look decent in the next few weeks! Dinner tonight will be very non os frozen pizza, homemade chips and bagged salad-very naughty but am absolutely shattered!

First Monday of maternity leave-feels a bit strange but very nice! Slightly spoilt because I had to leap out of bed to go to the newsagents at 7am to go and buy the sun to get my sun deal-however went on the internet nice and early and got the one we wanted in a lodge in September. Didn't fancy a caravan with a young baby and didn't want one too far away so managed to get one in Dorset for September. Had a good birthday-went out for the day and then went out for a meal in the evening which was nice. Today I need to go to the bank so am just about to start my day by jumping in the shower! Cod pasta bake for tea this evening and can actually prepare it in advance now I am off! Am going to take DS to Wacky warehouse this pm to run some energy off him as it look revolting outside!

DS is at nursery today so trying to sort stuff out. Have just been to get my eyebrows and bikini line done and been to hairdressers-essential stuff!- and am cooking a butternut squash to make some soup. Need to book an online shop for next week and am also doing my last shop before c section tonight so menu planning.

Shopping came to 59 quid which wasn't too bad seeing as I had to buy DH ready meals for my weekend in hospital. I'm going to make some pork chops with boulangerie potatoes tonight and a chilli cornbread pie tomorrow to make the most of my last couple of days cooking for a while. Ds is in preschool today so have been to my neighbours for a coffee and am trying to sort out internet banking but can't get logged on today for some reason. This afternoon need to get some ironing done and house tidied a bit more. Getting anxious about getting my household ready for my absence of three days and the new arrival of the baby!

Haven't been on for ages! I had a little girl Chloe on the 16th Jan by c-section-she weighed 6lbs 8oz-typically i had the little one by c section and the bigger one with the big head naturally! It was a lovely calm experience though and I'm so pleased to have one of each. Have been recovering at home and being looked after by dh-she is a good little girl though and only gets up once a night. I'm getting fed up of not being able to drive though-'only' four more weeks left! Dh is going back to work tomorrow so am a bit worried how i'm going to cope tomorrow!

  • Thanks lucielle. At least i wouldn't want to be driving at the moment because the roads in Northants where i live are absolutely treacherous at the moment with loads of snow and ice! Downside of the snow is that last week I was meant to have loads of help from friends and family when DH went back to work but visits from mil, sil, mum and dad, my best mate and my old workmate all had to be cancelled as was one of DS preschool session so have really struggled. DS bless him is full of energy! He went to a party today so got a bit of it out! Still more bad weather to come and we are struggling to get off the drive and we all including the baby have conjuntivitis! Happy days!
