  • i've had the scary car journey before and do vaguely remember writhing in agony on the back seat and then staggering into the labour and it wasn't much fun but now that it is out of the question I'm thinking nostalgically about it! You always want what you can't have-Brad Pitt, a 20 bedroom mansion and labour pains!

  • I can imagine-but wouldn't be unfortunatley able to put it into practice as I'm the size of a house at the moment! At work today but have just had a phonecall from nursery today to say that DS has had a bump on the head that needs to be checked by a doctor so waiting for the doctor to ring me back. Nothing is ever straightforward!

  • DS has now got a purple ear but other than that is in great spirits. I left him and DH watching Jungle Book and planning a fun day of bike riding and camera buying-ours has given up the ghost and with the impending arrival we need a new one pronto! I was gutted to have to go to work! Only 4 days left now until ML and on Friday will get my date for my section-how weird is that-very surreal! Went to Tescos last night and stocked up on all the baby essentials so all set-and got clubcard points too! today I am going to stroll into town as need new fur lined boots. Spent 68.19 on shopping last night which was not too bad but do prefer going to Asda rather than Tesco as find Tesco more expensive. Tonight we are going to a friend's in the next village for a mexican meal which should be fun. I am reaching a point in my pregnancy though when I am at the end of my tether-aching all over and finding it hard to sleep-whinge, moan, whinge!

Happy New Year to all. The consultant tried to turn the baby today but it wasn't having any of it so am booked in for a section on the 16th. I need to get everything in order now in preparation-not looking forward to having to rely on my DH-he is lovely but not that domesticated-he will make dinner but serve it at 11pm etc etc, never wipes the kitchen sides, won't keep up with the washing etc. It will drive me mad having to rely on other people to do things for me as I'm a terrible control freak!

Going to get everything in order today-finances etc so that I am all set. At least I won't be using the car for 6 weeks so will save on petrol! Need to go shopping tonight so will meal plan. Also need to take baby monitor back as have found it doens't tell you the temperature in the room-thought it was a bit cheap! Will check pigspoints as have been waiting for new ones to be credited for ages. Will also get petrol tonight and make a list for DS's party-it's in Feb but need to get prepared now!

Can you stock up your freezer with homemade meals ready for afterwards? I did this when I had mine and found it easier and less tempting to get a take away.
