    Hi Luc,

Not stalking promise :D , but nice to see you. Missing you over on the preg. thread.

Glad to see you ended 2008 with your current account in credit.

You sound extremely organised for maternity leave, puts me to shame :p

No problem, nice to have a new visitor:D . Had to withdraw from pregnancy thread before I put my foot in it. I do miss the baby talk though...

How are you keeping? My bump has developed a habit of sticking a foot or something under my rib cage which makes it impossible to lean forward. Also had a couple of health niggles (protein in sample and itchiness) but nothing major although was signed off work 10 days in December.

I'm not that organised. We've got a lot of the stuff but the baby's room currently looks like the local scrapheap. Hubbles & BIL are going to transform it this weekend apparently:D . Just been buying bits and pieces fro hospital bag. One more week of work and that'll be me done!

P.S. did you get the scrapbooking stuff?

Oh please tell me you didn't send the scrapbooking stuff. I never got it :( Not that I was EXPECTING it, but it never arrived so i thought you obviously had other things come up and never got around to it. I am so sorry.

I am keeping well. No major probs other than Ketones in one of my samples, but will be checking in a few weeks to see if they are there again.

I have got sooooo much movement it makes me feel quite ill at times.

One more week...gee.... are you going to cope okay not working? I am worried about that. Think I might find myself here on this board a bit to make sure we remain as debt free as possible (other than the current car loan).

I am trying to sort stuff for my hopsital bag too and have been asking the 'experienced' ladies on the thread today about what to include.

    Take care

Glad to hear you're keeping well.

Cow & Gate do a good hospital bag checklist that includes 'nice to haves' such as magazines. lip balm, hot water bottle as well as basics like nappies, maternity pads & PJs.

I sent a wee starter pack just before Xmas - a few papers & embellishments in pinks, blues, lilacs & yellows. Maybe its just got lost a bit with all the Xmas post.

Not too worried about not working - I'm planning ot run a 10k in May so will have 10 weeks to train for that, take the baby swimming, visit family in England and generally make the most of the time so I think I'll not have much time on my hands... In fact I'm already wondering if I'll even want to come back to work, not that I've got much choice in the matter with a mortgage to pay...

    Wooo hoooooo!

    Debt has gone sub £7k!!!!

If I keep to budget my debt should be just over £4k by the end of the year, even without making any overpayments:j :j :j which could mean I'll be debt free by the end of 2010, a full 2 years before my original snowball calculator forecast:D

Well to be fair based on the lack of work I've had over the past 12 months I guess I'm not entirely surprised. At teh moment there are 9 positions under review and I am affected because there are currently 2 assistant managers in corp. tax and they are reducing it to one. I haven't definitley lost my job but comparing client base/utilisation it makes more sense for them to keep the other girl on...

I think I'm taking it too personally at the moment - I can't help feeling a bit rejected:confused::o but at the same time I can relax for 6 months and start looking for a job in July to go back to when my maternity was up anyway. I can think about moving into industry rather than practice and possibly go art time. I kind of believe things happen for a reason (like us not getting that house this time last year - we would be in major schite if we had) and I just need to keep my chin up. I can't wait for a hug from Hubbles when he gets home though... (he doesn't know yet and I refuse to tell him over the phone when he's got 50 miles to drive and will be upset for me and the roads are treacherous)

As you say I too think things happen for a reason & it could be for the best in the long run.
    Or it might not happen.
Anyway take lots of care & make sure they have done everything by the book. xxx
