  • It sounds to me like your paypal account has been compromised, and possibly your amazon account too. http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ Go here and run there free online virus scan and see what it brings up.
  • One other thing to check.

Are the sites you cant access HTTPS:// as oppsed to HTTP://

HTTPS is secure HTTP and uses different ports on your router and HTTPS may requires you to forward the 443 ports.

To do this you will need to look at the specific web site of the Router vendor that you own.

If you are getting this when trying to go to an online virus scanner, sounds like the virus is blocking you from opening the site. My best advice is to see if you can download the most upto date virus definations for your antivirus software from a different computer, install them on the infected computer and run the scanner in safe mode.
Sometimes i surprise myself by being right.

Norton is not the greatest at picking up certain viruses, try start menu > run and type in msconfig. see if it opens, if it doesn't it's definately a virus.

But if it's what i think it is it may not, i had the same kind of problem and when i tried opening msconfig it wouldn't open, in either case it helps narrow things down a bit.
