Don't you think it is wrong to be conned into paying the extra by people cheating the system?

If it's listed for sale in the auction format................. It's prone to shill bidding. :)

More expensive items tend to be most prone to shilling, especially when the seller lists with a 99p start price to avoid paying extra fees. But as Tojo Ralph quite rightly says, it can happen in any auction.

He has bid on allot of cars, even ended up as the top bidder 4 times, once
an item from the same seller as this yet still has no feedback!
  • yeah its weird a member for over 2 years, no wins and started bidding in the last month or so for bmw cars, probably not a shill bidder but bizarre all the same

    Well what can we see?

The bidder does have a history actually and has in fact left two feedback, whilst receiving none.

If you look at the items they have bid on, they have not won anything recently, all the items are all in the same vain, namely BMWs and the cars are all from different sellers.

This indicates to me that the the bidder is simply trying to buy a BMW.

There is nothing weird at all I am afraid .... You will note the bidder has yet to actually win any of the auctions and the "two items" from the same seller are in fact one and the same item .... the original auction being ended early by the seller, then relisted. ;)

Note also the bidder has yet to be in the right ballpark on price, thus I would deduce, as stated, this is a guy looking for a BMW on the cheap, nothing more, nothing less. :D

If that is a shilling account, it's being done well. I mean, you can't really tell which of those auctions is the target.
