Pants is'nt it. I only stay with AOL, cos I can't be bothered to change all my screen names etc.

    The time is coming.
-- I did get this reply after spending hiours to some dopey rep on live help.

Please visit the Keyword : Broadband Drivers and then you can download the latest drivers from there.
    Thanks for nothing

I stay with AOL cos it's easier than changing.......maybe long term it's not........

i'm on dialup with aol.... got the pop up message yesterday saying needed to download etc etc ... started doing it ... said it would take 90 minutes ... then thought... was this genuine?? ... why didn't they send an email explaining it?? etc ... started to think it might be a scam ... so stopped the download .
got onto aol live help... 35 minute wait ... they advised me that it had been sent to me by mistake .. wasn't relevant and i didn't need to do anything .

presume they're right ... unless anyone tells me otherwise !!!

I was told my modem was okay for the new upgrades and I needn't do a thing, now i'm being told otherwise.

Funny thing is, I get charged Platinum, receive Platinum, but when I phone they say 'Right, you're on dial-up'

YUP got the same pop up this morning. Ended up wiping out my whole modem drivers.

I re-installed them and tried again. Somehow I got there in the end, but I had to go into install and remove, and then fix the modem control and stuff, I can't even remember.... I will have to complain.

    SNAP !!!

Went on my friends pc to go to live help, complete waste of time !

Thank god it wasn't only me

"AOL UK is coughing up more than £100,000 in compensation after a bungled network upgrade left around 20,000 punters without broadband. The ISP said it would give £5 credit to those hit by the glitch as "a goodwill gesture". The £5 credit will appear on accounts when the next bill is due, AOL UK said in an email."
