Put them on ebay....ill buy them
:D cant get enough so need to freeze loads for when they disappear again
My fav is blanch the sprouts then half and fry with some pancetta/bacon and onions0 -
Peel, then cut them in half and plunge into boiling water for two minutes then drain. Meanwhile fry some chopped up streaky bacon, add sprouts and a good knob of butter and fry the lot until the sprouts are al dente.

lol you said the same method as me but just so much more eloquently :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Hi, sprouts to me are the food of the devil!
Ok you can eat carrotts, brocolli, peppers, mushrooms, cauli, peas, asparagus, etc. just steamed as they are, and they are gorgeous. Ok you can jazz them up too.
But sprouts seem to need SO MUCH help ( garlic, cream, chestnuts, bacon, la la la) to make them edible or tasty, I'd forget it.
Just blanch and freeze in portions. Add to a nice and tasty veg soup and blend the life out of them!
Beware the windy city after though....0 -
If it were me, sprouts again being the work of the devil, they'd be straight in the compost.
However my brother does what he says is a very nice sprout and stilton soup - I have only his word for it as I have no intention of actually trying the stuff. Various recipes on google if you fancy giving it a go.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Thanks for the ideas I will probably freeze some & try the stir fry. My sister also has some & we wondered if we could make coleslaw using sprouts instead of cabbage? (same family of veg):T0
