do you know i fthe same applies to roaming in countries covered by 3 (e.g. Italy)

can I still use the same 0.50/day and use my Skyphone as a modem? (even though it was inteneded for mobile surfing)

so the dongle from play comes with a sim card? if so i think i'll go for that.....

The 50p a day (or any other data bundle) only applies to the UK. Try it overseas and you will get a big bill.

Mine did and as they are not intended to be used in place of your phone but as standalone units. They come with PAYG SIM with its own mobile number.

So yes you can use your allowance with Three Like Home (you need to be roaming on one of the Three networks mentioned) but the risk of exceeding your allowance and being hit with a massive bill remains high and that is again why the PAYG option is better as the service will cease when credit runs out.

Clearly mentioned in their detailed pricing document:

The only difference is that 3Australia is not included in the 3 Like home networks for PAYG customers although it is available for pay monthly contracts.

hi , just to add my contribution :j

i have used silver x series on the k610 before and used the phone -no prob!

now im on mix and match 1100 , on a e65 , paying a £5 a month for 10mb web usage-all i use it for is sending attachment and reading a few web pages , the best thing about this is that , you can check the usage on the hand set via MY 3 .
oh, im using it with my btooth, and i do receive and make call whist on line - no prob.!

oh, the other +pt is , with mix n match i use yahoo go! , checking email that way - no cost !! before any1 ask i dont work/have shares in 3 ! something is good ,but not all - then again it the cheapest !!!

i've gone for the 49.99 modem (as i wanted it straight away) and topped up £10, seems to be working ok. altho it connected with gprs a few times and i couldnt get on the net. now its connected with HDSPA.

I like the idea of using your phone but am I right in saying you cant recieve calls when on the net? This would put me off. Oh well - at least I wont have the expense of upgrading my phone just yet!
