A bridget Jones / Liz Jones diary of life in Internet Land and the difference between Real Life Land; difference in how the same person is treated in ILand as opposed to RL Land.??
As the Aspergers makes RL Land really difficult but doesn't detract from the real person in ILand??
Got to shut shop now...will think some more...but only if you want?!

Inspiration has abandoned me. The best I've managed so far is something like 'The Avatar Adventurer'.

We had The Sand Mountain..but that's like all of our lives..too generic.

I don't read Sci Fi stuff (only Orwell and the other one Time Machine was that Orwell or H G Welles? I can't recall) but the paralell life is the key.
Someone so articulate (and the rest) should not have a problem finding work (good quality, long, term, valued and well paid work I mean).
I need to find out more about Aspergers anyway as I don't know much about it...only an aquaintance at DD school whose son lined up his lego in a long trail around his room. He was really clever but had problems with the other kids. She had to really fight for him, if I recall.

    And watch out for JC

Sorry, PN, not wanting to intrude on your life or anything, but some of your posts hang around in my head during the day. They resonate (is that the correct English? Feels like it) whilst I should be concentrating on far more important things like which top matches which frock and do I have a pair of trousers flattering enough to go over the great big a5se in front of me.....as if I do, I get £30 in my till.

And watch out for J C in Jersey......wants you to buy the drink? Perleeeze.
If OH ever ran off with totty and I was single, I'd expect, at least, 3 courses plus decent wine.

Well, it might be all about how hard it is to get a job, even when you've been proactive in seeking one out and attempting to create your own position in life; especially through using any form of Old Boy Network you have access to.

That's a toughie. I'll have to work on it. I reckon it needs to be something like "Diary of a Nobody" (which is taken obviously). Actually, I reckon that's a story that is dying to be retold for the C21st as it goes.

If you've not read the book:

    http://www.gutenberg.org/dirs/etext97/dnbdy10h.htm

It's out of copyright so you're not depriving anyone of a living.
Or I could just tell dirty jokes in it, with stick diagrams and arrows pointing to motion.

    :)

It's a crowd pleaser, you've gotta give it that.
