As for the bank searches then you can dispute these too... tell the credit reference agency that you have not authorised these searches on your record - but if they are over 3 months old I really wouldn't worry... it's if you have too many serches recently it's a problem. It shows years worth but the onkly ones of interest should be the last 3-6 months really

The main one was 16/01/2008 by RBS and it was 'Itentity Check to comply with Anti money laundering regulations. My Brother had one on the same day.
I have had 2 then from RBS HR (I used to work for RBS), one on 16/11/2007, with the reason 'Additional Address' on my current address and 16/11/2007 'Personal Vetting' on my old address.
Does that sound a little strange? I stareted working for RBS in Jun 2006 and finished Mar 2008.
