It works fine to just put in "mummy" and or "grandma". I put in in "mummy" for her mum and also "auntie shireen" for me. Works great x

its not one of my auctions or anyone i know , i was just looking for a personalised book for a boy(thought id get that in before i get told off!.

anybody know of any where else that's personlising kids books??? Got 3 barbie books, but need 3 books for little boys.

I ordered from penwizard.co.uk for a personalised book. Quite a bit of choice for boys and girls, the nice part is you can personalise the characters, i.e. hair colour and style, for the football one you can pick the colour of the kit. The cost is 12.99 plus 1.00 postage and it arrived within 2 weeks, you can also add a message inside the front cover. The book is fairly small and is paperback, but the story is very detailed and long.

If you are looking for Boys books you could try this company:

I got a leaflet, either in some junk mail or from the school (wish I could remember) from a company called My adventure books. They have a huge range of Boys and Girls personalised books including, finding nemo, the tigger movie, winnie the pooh, toy story, the lion king, snow white, beauty and the beast, my special dinosaur adventure, me and the great zoo mystery, plus the obvious christmas story book amongst others (which my daughter got a couple of years ago). They vary in price between 6.95 upto 10.95 (for the disney ones). They are guarenteeing delivery for Xmas if ordered before the 2nd december.

Haven't used them before, but am about too, they are based in London, and their number is 020 7510 0166 if anyone is interested.

I can't believe it! I saw this book adverstised in a magazine ages ago and meant to order it but lost the advert. I spent days trying all combinations of words on Google to find the site with no luck. I come on here (usually my first port of call when I'm buying anything) and find this thread - but see I'm probably too late :wall:. I'm going to order it anyway and just put it away for next Christmas (my daughter's birthday is on 3rd Jan so it probably wouldn't arrive for that either!)

The problem I'm having though, is it won't let me change the birth date YEAR from 2000. Anyone else got this problem? Does the book have their birth year or age in it?

Anyway - for anyone looking for something similar, especially for boys, on my many searches I found THIS site. They do ten different titles and are £10.95 inc p&p. They have order before 14th Dec for Christmas deliveries, which seems quite good. They also have personalised CD ROMs for £13.95 inc p&p. Apart from the usual friends names, they also have a 'name of an adult' option as well.

THIS site has 18 different titles for £7.95 and CD ROMs for £15.99 with six story titles.

THIS one has a lot of titles and are £8 inc p&p for the smaller books and £10 for the larger ones.

If you fancy really splashing out, THIS site includes the childs photograph on the body of the main character for £19.99 (an extra copy of the same one to give to a grandparent etc is £10 - seems odd thing to do but someone might like the idea!) PLUS £2.50 p&p.

I've just looked through the book and can't see the year of birth or the age anywhere. The birthday is definitely in, though.

As I said, I ordered my book last week and got it this week, so there's a good chance you might get it by Christmas or your little girl's birthday.
