How long does it take for the green zeros to partially outweigh the bad stuff on credit files making it a little easier to get lower interest rates?

Its best to have at least 1 year of green zeros and for the bad stuff to be about 3 years old.

IMO anyway

id like to know that,

also when does stuff drop of your file, 6 years from the date of closing account or 6 years from default ?

Defaults drop off 6 years after the default being registered on your credit report. Searches drop off after 1 year although credit companies nomrally disregard those more than 6 months old
