Anyway, update update, Vanquis card arrived Saturday morn, £500 limit 34%

I very politely declined and proceeded to chop the card up and bin it! The reason being i decided having more than 3 cards is gonna get confusing, payment dates etc and i think i can repair the credit file with what i have already.
I really shouldnt have applied in the first place i know, stupid really.

lol I sometimes have to stop myself from applyin for another credit card,, if any mug will give me another,, I use capitial 1 at the mo and im just doin fine with tht,,sometimes the hi intrest rate annoys me when I dont pay off in full but hey ho,,IMO i am lucky to have cap1 card and hopefull through time I will get a better 1 and then dispose of CAP1

Do you know this time last year (pretty close anyhow) I had no idea of credit reference agencies what my report was like or even what went into the bank...and whats worse what went out when.....my Lighbulb moment arrived and looking back now I see my credit report was 5 defaults (due to my in ability to plan).....and all outstanding nothing positive apart from my LTSB credit card and loan reporting (never a late payment there thankfuly)so 2 things reporting Green O's as bank account and mortgage taken out yers ago so not reported, plus no idea of my mortgage rate......not in debt but only getting by by the grace of pure luck...

But now 12 months on.
Have my mortgage reporting O's (at an excellent fixed rate) loan finished loads of O's balance clear these were all O's anyhow....Nationwide bank account O's, Co Op Bank account O's, Credit cards all paid off in full every month and reporting LTSB O's, MBNA O's, Vanquis O's, Capital One O's. Add to that one default fell off one was a duplicate so removed (thanks to this board) one removed by lots of letter written...and the two remaining now marked settles/satified balances showing Zero, both also come off early 2010. So all in all really positive 2008.....all thanks to this board, I now get offers of credt cards, and loans.

I intend to come out of this credit crunch with an excellent credit record.....Thank you all.

Is it 3 months between vanquis applications or 6 months.

Evening fellow Subs. Do you think I've got a strong chance of getting Littlewoods and or Next Directory? I'm planning on those being my next and final applics for 2008. I've got 8 or 9 searches on Equifax (5 of which are for phone/BT stuff) - only 2 are actual applications for credit products. On Equifax all I have reporting is one current account (2 green 0s) and one mobile account (3 green 0s). No negatives. I will be on the Electoral Roll by the time I apply. What are my chances in your honest opinion?
