can I join?
I have a cap 1 card £500 limit and monument with £200 limit.
Does anyone know when cap one increase your limit after the initial increase you get about 3 months after you open your account. I've had £500 limit for about 5-6 months, not needing a credit limit increase but it is nice to be trusted to be responsible. I only had £40 odd outstanding and £7 on monumnet!0 -
Hope the spuds get spudded today. and them mackems from the unwashed city can shizzle me nizzle0

Have you applied before?
Vanquis simply cancel applicatoins that are made within 6 months of being declined. You have to wait for 6 months between applications. If you are succesful you would have received your card within 14 days, that's not to say you have been declined, during busy times, it takes Vanquis longer to process the Referals, the referal ones sometimes require staff to phone (house phone) to confirm details. You could call them, they will tell you if you was succesful or not. Hope that helps?
I have previously applied to them, but it was last year so its definately more than 6 months ago! I also got that same email with the credit agreement in, but haven't heard anything since! I might check BT 1571 and see whether they've tried calling... I did try calling them a few days after applying but got the usual pre recorded 'If you have just applied we will be in touch' Might try again tomorrowCheers for the advice. On another note, got declined straight off for Monument, really really annoyed as this and the Vanquis totalled my applications to 3 and knocked my credit score down by over 100 points!
Did anyone else realise that when your looking around for car insurance they search your credit file? I looked at loads of different ones to see which would be cheapest, totalling my number of credit searches this year to like 19!!! Soo unfair, didn't read anywhere when i was getting quotes that they'd search my credit file  :mad:0 -

Yes i also got declined straight off for monument. As for the car insurance you would think they would tell you out of courtesy that they do a credit search-wonder why they do this? :rolleyes:If we all took an eye for an eye the world would be blind-(someone said that somewhere) :T

I know some try to - More Than mentioned it in the spiel they gave me once when I was asking for a quote and I said 'no'. They told me it was to see about the payment options they could offer. When i said that I'd rather know their price first they said they could not proceed with the quote without the search. I declined to go further. I don't think there is any reason for it and as such it is a good idea to listen to all the stuff they read out when you get your quote.0
