not sure why that last comment was needed darcy
ahh right tribulation hmmm i thought you'd got the 16.9 with 5k
my theory goes out of the window
btw did you get the 0% promtion for 6 months ?
That's a very good question.
The agreement leaflet specifies balance transfer APR's of
Tier A 16.9%
Tier B 19.9%
Tier C 24.9%
which is the same as the normal APR.
I presumed that as their web site said 0% for 6 months (and still does say this), I had been given 0% for 6 months and the APR in the leaflet was for if I did further transfers at a later date.
But after reading what people have said here, I'm not too sure.
Still, it's a much better rate than I was paying on Littlewoods.Martin Lewis is always giving us advice on how to force companies to do things.
How about giving us advice on how to remove ourselves from any part of MoneySupermarket.com
I hereby withdraw any permission Martin might have implied he gave MoneySupermarket.com to use any of my data. Further more, I do not wish ANY data about me, or any of my posts etc to be held on any computer system held by MoneySupermarket.com or any business it has any commercial interests in.0 -

bet you did not think it would be this big when you started it mr p!!!!!!!Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -
Youl have to do sub prime 2 or extra- so we will know where to go. How about sub prime 0% just to confuse!!!If we all took an eye for an eye the world would be blind-(someone said that somewhere) :T

Btw Morning peeps
The 'last updated' date is irrelevant to when the default clears.
The default should drop off 6 years after it is registered, so really it should be gone already.
See HERE.

EDIT: Think I read your post wrong... If the default was registered on 1/5/03 then it's due to drop off 1/5/09This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Hi,
With the new 'Faster Payments' from the banks, how long does it take for a payment from my bank to my capital one card ?, its it the same day or does it take 3 - 4 days ?, and if so is payment by debit card online still the fastest method ?.
Thanks.0 -
hello everyone,
Well as I had posted previously I thought I had been accepted for a Citibank current account well here is the update...... After applying and being told the paperwork was on its way, to sign and return with relevant documentation! So this I did, all original documentation mind you!! Several days later I received my documents back with a welcome letter telling me it was all being processed...Fine all was good....till saturday morning I receive a letter telling me I have been declined for an account...So you can imagine my face...wasn't a happy bunny!!!
Then today...I log into my online banking to see waht spare funds I have to put towards my Vanquis bill when it comes in cos I had to use the card to pay for MOT on car...which wasn't cheap with repairs also on saturday!!
Anyhow forgetting about that, to find I have some new offers, exactly the same as what I had gone into branch for about a fortnight ago to be declined but I didn't have an invite that time!!
So I applied for the current account...told me 'Congratulations you have been accepted for an Abbey account, on receipt of your signed paperwork your account will be opened' - Now do I believe these or do I wait for the 'No chance'
I then applied for the Abbey Zero card again I got refused last time! I didn't get an instant decline though... what I got was 'If successful your card will be issued on receipt of your signed documents'
So any advice would be welcome as I can't see how things can be that much different in the space of two weeks..... Debts: Capitalone £0, Vanquis £220, LX Direct £1197, Mutual £1107, JD Williams £23 :eek:0 -
Does anyone have any views on whether the current ecomonic meltdown is going to affect those of us looking to apply to these sub prime cards? Do you think they are going to be less generous?0
