No fair Candice, you got your card and chequebook on the same day
lol
I guess I shall have to wait and see what turns up tomorrow lol. Also, has anyone done their switching service. I chose this option on the website as I have no loyalty to Barclays and I want the £100 bonus lol. Does anyone know how long this takes??0 -
Just been looking at my alerts on Equifax which I get free with Cap 1. On the 26/09/08 it said that I had a new credit agreement added by "Legal Direct Recoveries" - a mail order agency. So I'm like !!!!!! what is this????? So because I'm peeved off as I only just got the Lowell default removed, I pay the £5.99 to get an up to date copy of the report. So I access the credit agreement section and there's no record of an agreement with said company!!!! How frustrating. I wouldn't have paid £5.99 if it wasn't for the alert telling me that this new credit agreement had been set up. So now I snt an online dispute asking for my £5.99 back lol. Doubt I'll get that!!!!
But on the plus side, my Egg default has been marked as satisfied :j . The default was issued in March 2007 and they marked it as satisfied in April 2007 when in fact I paid it off in Sep 2008. Anyways, I now have 2 defaults on Equifax both satisfied, one defaulted in Dec 2004 and the other March 2007, so April 2013 will be when I will have a totally clean file

Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -
Thanks Mr P. I should have asked this before I paid the flippin £5.99!!!! Yes I have a Littlewoods account. That makes me feel better now
. I would have been super !!!!ed off if another company came out of the woodwork with an alledged debt lol. It would just be my luck that I'm on my last £3k of debt to pay off, and someone somewhere thinks don't let that cowbag be debt free lol!!!!
So how are you this evening? How's sunny Newcastle????0 -

Hi Sutton,
That's a good question. My understanding is that if they were passed to a DCA (like Capquest), no activity happens on the account on your credit file. EG it shows you defaulted in Sep 2003 and nothing has been marked since (even tho you are making payments to Capquest. Fast forward to October 2009 (6 years later) and said account disappears. Howverthe debt is still valid so you sould still pay it. If you are still paying the original lender then the default will still drop off and you will have some nice green zeros.
Basically the account will disappear 6 years after the date it was marked as defaulted or settled/satisfies, whichever comes first.
Does that make sense???0 -
Capquest ve a funny way of updating their accounts, I defaulted on a skycard last year and paid a F&F in July this year, they updated my credit files to show as being settled in March 2006, when I took card outso cant understand their reasoning."In Italy for thirty years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance.0

yea that does make sense thanks, i will have to keep paying it or they will probably make me bankrupt and i don't want that. so even if i'm still paying debt off after the default has gone i should be credit worth to a degree anyway.0
