Cheese (AGAIN!!!) the standard 3 for £3 ones -- pack and scan £1.24, SEL £1.19. Only buy two though!

This isn't a misprice but always worth having a few other things in your trolley. If you buy the Sun newspaper (30p) today it has a voucher for a free bag of McCains chips worth £1.72 valid until 30/11/05. Also if you buy Cinderella Special Edition DVD for £14.84 you get £5 off another chart DVD, I bought Peter Kaye DVD for £4.97 so paid £14.81 for the 2 DVDs. I also bagged 300 points for buying the Cinderella DVD (I have a spare voucher PM me if you would like it).

I bought Cinderella for my daughter but never got 5 pounds off another DVD. Is this store specific or do we need a voucher, etc?

I might go back in and ask for my discount.

These two MAY be wrong, but as BOTH of the in-store price check machines were dead, I couldn't check them myself. Are Tesco's getting wise to us and disabling the machines? :-)

Just checked and as per Monday's Sun newspaper:

Cinderella on DVD for only £9.84 when you buy any other chart DVD. (At selected Tesco stores, subject to availability, "Chart" applies to Tesco chart. Normal price £14.84 offer applies to Cinderella Special edition double disc DVD only. Offer excludes https://www.tesco.com. Offer ends 30/10/05.)

My Tesco had yellow labels in front of the Cinderella DVD showing the offer but as it was only released on Monday I believe you should qualify for this offer. It came off as a discount on my receipt so no voucher was needed.

the scanner in my tescos is out of action too and at £49.99 it's overpriced so wouldn't want to test it out

I don't shop at Corstorphine often, but in the last couple of weeks I've had a refund through the petrol price promise (2 x the overcharge compared to the nearby Shell), and various cheese refunds.

Today I was refunded for overcharges on 4 cheeses:
2 of the £1.19 / £1.24 cheeses on special offer of 3 for £3 (all of them were £1.19 SEL, £1.24 on the packs)
Emmental SEL £8.65 kg / pack £8.99 kg
Finest Farmhouse SEL £9.95 kg / pack £9.99 kg (got this last week as well)

Last week I also had a refund on the Finest Parmesan. They're still charging £17.08 kg but have taken down the £13.08 kg SEL - so although its an overcharge you can't prove it!

I got the cheese £1.19 SEL/£1.24 pack, topside of beef SEL £5.28, pack £5.98 per kg and Kathy Reichs hard back book Cross Bones, SEL £12.96 sticker on book £9.96.

Loose leeks £0.67 kg SEL, £1.48 kg at till (more than double:eek: )

And watch out for pre packed new pots. I got 2.5 kg yesterday for 97p, but there was a 1kg bag of identical product with SEL of £1.37 (or something close to that)...pay more, get less.

CS saw my prices written on my shopping list and told me she was going to start doing that as it seems people were always being overcharged. Mmm...
