Scored my first "hit" on Mr T tonight. De-icer in Dungannon store NI 73pon SEL but a whopping £1.47 at check out and I wasnt even looking for misprices (well not that much) . Unfortunately we dont have the self scanners in the store. Makes it difficult. This after I had been refused on Wednesday on the Saturday Night Fever CD SEL13.97/POSTER 5.97. Manager Gareth blamed it on a printing error on the poster. Was gonna honour the 5.97 but i'm not that much of a Disco Queen.
Felt I had the community behind me tonight!!!

    JoeCool,
Either your store is very good at ensuring there are no misprices or you need to look a little harder! The meat and cheese errors are a certainty on the variable weight packs. You do not need the scanners!
You should have had the CD above for free. The error is theirs and the policy states you should have the refund and keep the goods!
    Absolutely no argument!

I took to using the self checkout to scan some prices tonight, the member of staff did'nt appreciate it much after my 2nd lot of scanning and said it looks bad if we have to keep voiding these checkouts, not as bad as this refund is going to look i thought, anyway £64.22 refund out of £83.08 shop on the already mentioned,

    dido,sat night fever,snow patrol,nat bedingfield cd's
    parmesan,swiss emmental.

plus finest farmhouse vintage chedder SEL £2.59 pack £2.73
beef mince SEL £1.39 pack £1.45

this was 1st time i'd shopped at this tesco,cs woman was great, like a breath of fresh air compared to some i've dealt with.

earlier at another T's had some stewing steak over per kilo
plus the usual cheese with shallots and some MORE gammon both over per kilo

I think the Becks is a bit of a red herring. Had a look but couldnt spot anything - the only remotely suspicious thing was a missing A4 style poster on the 20x275ml boxes but these seemed to scan correctly (reduced to 9.99)

Did take saturday night fever though - suprised this one is still uncaught. Not impressed that the lady on checkout mumbled to her friend next to her 'I'm sure this one is reduced...' but then smiled away at me (pretending not to notice) as she scanned it and happily handed it to me.

CS first tried to fob me off with telling me it WAS the correct price (she didnt look at the poster) until I pointed it out, then she said that it was a 'different CD than the one on the poster' as the one on the poster said 'OST' on it (!!), after explaining what OST is, she checked in the back then offered me a refund, until i pointed the policy out. She was pleasant though, unlike the CS at Burnley (who acted like she just swallowed a bucket of sour grapes) who kept me waiting a while but refunded and handed the goods over without question.

The offending poster was also taken down. The other poster detailing the other mispriced chart CDs has also been replaced with a correct poster.

  • Went to the big 24 hour Tesco in kensington after dropping the wife off at work.

I was walking around with our little boy in the trolley when I came to the soft drinks. A manager was there scanning everything so I watched him. After a couple of minutes he called over some more managers and I moved closer. He told them that the whole soft drink aile was wrongly priced. I went as white as a ghost and grabbed the closest item to me. I looked and saw that I got 4 boxes of coke (24 * 330mml). The SEL said £2.59 and the box itself says £2.75. As I was loading it in the trolley they looked at me and off course my little boy already a little MSE put on his charms and luckily they didnt remove the SEL. I excused myself dashed off to pay and noticed ive been overcharged. Off to CS and she said ill have to get a manager. I told her they in the drinks aile. Went with her smiled at them and they just said give a refund.

So if anyone is in that area it might be worthwhile popping in.

I went to 2 more stores to check the coke put all correctly priced.

But there might be more drinks available as the manager did say the whole aile was wrong.

Prepacked mackerel, £2.80/lb on pack, £2.69 on SEL (I think). Wouldn't scan at the self scanners or on the till but went through at higher price eventually. CS very nice today :D

Ooh - my first ever! Lynx Africa Dry ROLL-ON - label saying 2 for £3 and they went through at £1.88 each. Also got bacon placed on wrong shelf = misleading. Total shop was just over £50 so got my 5p off petrol, then almost £10 back at CS. I'm a convert! This was in Bromley-by-Bow Tesco. No customer scanner available tho.

Saw the Tesco's Finest Emmental at Tesco in Ashby today. Pack price £8.99 per kg, SEL £8.65.

Did not get any myself as I still have 2 packs in the fridge but somebody else might want to bag few free packs tomorrow.

Also picked up Natasha Bedingfield - Unwritten SEL £4.97 but unfortunately I could not find a working self scanner so I took a chance at the till and it scanned at £4.97 too so worth avoiding. I guess it's still a cheap Xmas present for somebody.
