Damn - beat me to it - great spot I thought - these are the Healthy Living Skinless fillets - yummy!!

Loads of these in Cheltenham - look carefully as they are mixed up with the correctly priced packs - use by dates of 30 or 31 December seem to be the wrongly priced ones.

Nothing obvious on the DVD CD racks.

No problem from my CS - that said, they were also dealing with a manic ranter venting forth that his bum-fluff son was old enough to buy a lotto ticket....

    Happy days.

  • Was returning an unwanted christmas present in Tesco Yarmouth today. The woman in front of me had just been overcharged on a CD. Apparently, it was stickered at £6.87, but she was charged just under £15 for it. She was given a full refund and kept the CD. The CD was:

    The Clash: The Essentials

  • OK, I got home a while ago, but I am *STILL* smiling :-)

Went to a couple of Tesco's today, in Milton Keynes, and had the following "finds":
    • iQon Starter PC (£199.97) + Samsung 17" TFT TV/Monitor (£328.00) - £478.97 / £528.97 (Lots of yellow SEL's showing the offer for £50 off, if you buy both, but it expired on 24th)
    • DVD - War of The Worlds - Yellow SEL (expired on 24th) - £12.87 / £14.84
    • DVD - Polar Express - Yellow SEL (expired on 24th) - £9.97 / £11.97
    • Delia Smith - Winter Collection (Hardback) SEL £6.97 / £9.97 (SEL is actually for the SOFTBACK version, but they all seem to be mixed together, and is not specific about which one)
    • Kylie - Ultimate Kylie Double CD - STICKERED at £9.77 / £17.79

Aside from the PC, I got 2 of each item, which netted me about £640 in refunds - YES!!!! Manager had to be called about the PC, but did it no problem, commenting that "Christmas has come again for you".

    still smiling...

Oh, and some other DVD offers that should have expired on 24th were still scanning at the lower price, like "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" and "Charlie + Chocolate Factory", so skip them - shame, wanted them too...
    Always after a bargain... :-)
  • Quite a risky one on the computer though, what happens if it is store specific and the £50 discount is applied? I am always dubious about misprices involving what is essentially a rebate and cannot be checked manually.

I know what you mean. Having had the success with the DVD's at the other store, I decided to "go for it" on the PC. If the "£50 off" had been applied, I would have simply returned it, unopened, as an "unwanted gift" and got a refund anyway. Luckily I had enough free on the card to risk it, so was not too fussed.

  • if when they hand you the credit card slip to sign at the check out and it is priced correctly then just dont sign it and run off. i had to do that with the acer laptop that was on here a month ago.

That beats my £499 PC and I think it must be the biggest single refund. Unless someone knows better?

    Today's shop:
CD - (What's the Story) Morning Glory? - Oasis
Sticker £6.97 but SEL and charged an amazing £14.29
CD - The Definitive Collection - Lionel Richie & The Commodores
Sticker £9.77 but SEL and charged an even more shocking £15.99!

Healthy Living Skinless Chicken Breasts - Yellow SEL £6.00/kg Pack £7.50kg
Offer ends 14 Jan so look out for current stock as new stuff should be lower!

Pink Floyd Echos Album was on the SEL at £15+ which is wrong!
Scissor Sisters Album was on SEL at £15+ which is wrong!
Slade album was on poster at £2 less then SEL!
As PlinkyKev stated the Ultimate Kylie Double CD was there as well.
In fact loads of prices are on the posters this week and are wrong.
Loads of SEL's are wrong also.
Go easy, be careful and good luck!

It seems the CD posters are back. Today at Launceston (Cornwall) I caused chaos and could have netted about 20 cd's. Since I am no longer in the club 18-30 category I hadn't heard of half of them. However I did get:

ALL FROM CD POSTER - Dated 26/12/05
Housework Songs (white single cd size cover with double cd in) - Lady on front singing into hoover - charged 13.97
I love Sixties (white box 3 cd set with loveheart in Union Jack Flag on) - charged 14.97
Essential Hits 50 of this Years Biggest Hits - 3 CD Boxset charged 14.97
Disneys Greatest Hits - 3 CD set charged 12.97

These should all have been 8.97

The Very Best of the 1980's (white box with 1980s in red numbers) 3 CD set - charged 9.87

    This should have been 7.97

I was getting a bit confused so only went for the ones which I knew should have scanned at 8.97 (apart from the 1980s one which I remembered from last time).

A whopping £66.75 refunded and I also had a voucher for 200 extra points on a purchase of £15 or more on CDs!! :j :j
