Does anyone know if this is any good? Have been offered a package which will cost me £60 and I was wondering if its a con or worth taking up.0
-
what exactly is it covering?0

As you will always be refunded if any money is taken from you i think its a waste of money. Trading on peoples fear if you ask me.
I guess the only cover is against the possible hassle involved.0 -
not worth it, IMHO, although some covers get you a regular credit status check - but these are only £2/£3 anyway, therefore not much of a benefit.if it's more than 10 stone, and that hairy, it's probably not a dog...it may be a wookie.0

Thought it might be worth bumping this a little, I believe lots of people around here will be taking out this account. I just did and got a *very* hard sell, to the point that I gave up saying no, and decided to just cancel in my 14 day cooling-off period. Kind of annoying, but the phone call was going on a bit!
It's gone up to £59.99 pa, too.0 -

I've just registered my A&L account and got the very same hard sell which I've accepted but will probably cancel during the cooling-off period. The annual premium has dropped to £29.99 now though, not sure whether this is a good deal.0

Campbell spent 12 months passing confidential information to fraudsters while she worked at Halifax's Bexleyheath branch in south-east London, the court was told. Once gang members had control of customer accounts, others set up in the names of genuine clients were used to plunder their cash.
