Sorry about my double post.
I have a problem with my sony ericsson. It switches itself off ALOT. And one of the bottons do not work. I have only had it around 2-3 months.0 -
Stand your ground, speak to the manager tell him/her that they wouldnt be happy if they purchased something and had to have it repaired 4 times, demand a replacement, kick up a fuss, dont leave without getting the issue resolved.0

Yh i know when my son got his phone within a week the buttons cracked and when he slid the phone up the screen went blank so couldnt text
They have resolved the button problem but everytime the same fault with the blank screen and now if its left on for an hour it goes off and then dont work
I dont think i will ever get a SE again but my other sons old phone was a SE w850i and he never had a problem with it but im getting fed up with it why should we pay for all the call and recorded delivery each time when we spent enough on the phone in the first place and we expected it to last0 -
you may be better contacting the manufacturer of the phone as its them that have put the warranty on the phone not curry's so really it should be them to issue a replacementThe only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about - Oscar Wilde:beer:

I have e mailed Sony Ericcson and im awaiting a reply but its getting beyond a joke now
Once fair enough if they can resolve the problem but 4 times for a new phone its not on my son has had to use his old samsung(slide phone) his had it 2 years and never had a problem with it he just wanted an upto date model but luckily still kept his old phone
What if someone needed a phone for their business and had all this hassle its disgusting the way they treat people0 -
what SE Phone is it?
EDIT: ive just seen your other thread about this and im guessing that the phone is either an s500i or w580i.
the white screening issue sounds like a flex cable fault where the cable that links the 2 halfs of the phone is getting worn out and needs to be replaced
EDIT 2: have you tried updating the software on the phone?0 -
its a w580i and the screen goes blank so you cant text and if its on longer than an hour it goes off
yes when its working we have checked for updates0 -

The warranty is in addition to your statutory rights, not instead of. So it is down to the store to sort out as goods are not fit for purpose - don't let them fob you off with any mush about the warranty, it is down to the shop to sort out.0 -
UPDATE
My hubby went into currys yesterday and spoke to the manager he wasnt going to do anything so he came back and took me up there and i spoke to a different person in charge and after explaining everything he rang up the repair company and they said to send old phone back and they will give me a new one i said to the person that they said that last time he said well i will scan your serial number and back of phone so they cant fob you off so i said if im getting a brand new phone what about a receipt he said well they will take it from the old one so i said thats not right brand new phone brand new receipt so he replied well come in when you get your new phone and i will give you a new receipt
What i want to know is as im getting a new phone and new receipt if the new same model phone goes wrong before the 28 days am i entitled to a refund or do i settle for another replacement of the same model/phone because i forgot to ask that i know if its over 28 days i will have to have it repaired like this time
But they even said up currys they have had several problems with this make/model phone so i want to be prepared before anything happens
Thanks everyone that has helped0
