I'm not sure what you mean by "fully" compensated.BlimusOreilly wrote: »Not only that, Royal Mail have never compensated me fully for any claims I've mad on behalf of buyers who have had items missing in the post - so you lose out to some degree anyway.
All claims I have made against RM have been settled covering the full cost of the item paid plus either the postage actually paid or the cost of p+p of the ebay item charged (whichever was more).
Consequential loss is not covered (as specified in their terms & conditions), nor is amounts over (currently) £36.00.
Added insurance may be purchased to cover consequential loss and/or amounts over £36.00 depending on service purchased.
It is true that sometimes I have to press harder than others to enforce my right to compensation, but so far I've always managed to get it in the end.

I still think it's wrong not allowing sellers to leave feedback, what about non paying ebayers etc I think ebay is a two way system and I as both a regular buyer & seller am not happy about the changes and will be considering other means to sell my items :mad:Busy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0

I completely agree. Extremely unfair but what can you do? E-Bay being greedy as they make more money by sellers having to relist items. Sellers with Unpaid Items are still eligible for Final Value Fee credits. Also, if the item is relisted and sells the second time, eBay will refund the Insertion Fee for the relisting.
The seller could offer the item to the the next highest bidder as a second chance offer possibly resulting in a better price achieved than if the non-paying bidder had not bid

 What good is that!!!!
I'm posting here 2 days or so after my original post & things are progressively getting worse. I have several buyers pulling out of auctions & more stating non-delivery. This is out of control & I have had enough.
EBAY HAVE MADE A VERY BIG MISTAKE !!!

Either is the cost of postage.
You can only claim the cost of the item from royal mail.they do not take into account any other charges.
Also if you make too many claims you are considered a scam artist and blocked from claiming0 -

That may or may not be true, but I am aware that all claims are monitored and any irregularities investigated by the Royal Mail.meknownowt wrote: »...Also if you make too many claims you are considered a scam artist and blocked from claiming
This means that if a number of items are claimed not to be delivered in a certain address/area this will be highlighted. If a whole area (e.g. street) is affected, Royal Mail will probably look internally as to the cause (e.g. sorting office, delivery office, rogue postal delivery person) but where an individual address is concerned, then the suspicion will fall on the occupants.
So if any ebay scammers are reading this thinking they are getting away with theft from the Royal Mail, be prepared for a knock on your door by the local constabulary on suspicion of fraud/theft.
Even if no fraud/theft can be proven, Royal Mail may decide in extreme circumstances to no longer deliver items to that specific address, classifying it as an unsafe address, requireing the occupants collect their mail items from Royal Mail rather than having them delivered.
As a sender, I have no worries in this regard as all claims I make are done so in good faith based on the information I hold e.g. no signature on delivery obtained (when such service has been procurred) or written confirmation from the intended recipient that delivery has not been made."Now to trolling as a concept. ....
