i ahd another look at aviform- they have a killer deal on matlodex - works about at about £2.50/kg - just waiting for a reply from them to see what the recipe is (hopefully 50/50 dextrose and maltodextrin).

I don't know about price comparisons but another high protein option is wheatgerm. You could sprinkle it on cereal for example, it's quite tasty and totally natural.....no additives or preservatives.10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j [/COLOR]:cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride. As I said on another post supplements are a waste of money - just my opinion of course.
If your eating a reasonable diet you will get everything you need anyway - ingesting another 30g of protein 3-4-5 times a day will do nothing but drain your bank balance.
If you want to get more protein because you have had a bad eating day a way we found that was super cheap was a few spoons of powdered milk into normal skimmed milk, add a flavouring and you have the same product at a fraction of the cost. Add a multivit and you have all angles covered.
Try to find some some medical literature that has shown that these supplents are helpful - not just some spiel from the company that produces this rubbish, you can't find any.
The more experienced I got in Drug Free Powerlifting the more I noticed that the very best lifters didn't use supplements at all ..... they had long sussed out that this stuff makes no difference at all.0 -
I'd like to see a bodybuilding site that say's the best way to do it is without supplements... sounds like rubbish to me. you have to pay to get high quality protein, thats just a fact, and there are some amino acids which you just cant get enough of by eating normally, l-glutamine for example. Powdered milk and vitamins are definitely good ideas too, but i dont think they would give your body enough without some supps.0

I agree - you will never see a BB site that says don't bother with supplements - the reason being is that supplement companies sponsor BB and BB mags.
Without the supplement companies BB would be no where
Where did you get your info in regards to the Amino acid ? would be interesting to know
The only supplement I have ever heard mildly positive comments about in regard to strength is creatine - even then it's only the water retention creating tissue leverage. Creatine has contributed to deaths in the US especially athletes that have had to drop weight quickly to get in a weight class -
Many athletes endorse certain supplements - I believe purely for the money - how many times do we see a hugely muscled BB in muscle and fitness attribute his gains to a certain supplement when we all can see he/she are roid users.... I got out of BB and into drug free Powerlifting because there was no way to go beyond a regional level without the use of gear.0 -
Dont believe that you have to pay to get hight quality protein, tuna-chicken-milk-fish is as good as it gets, all this rubbish about assimilation rates is nonsense put out by supplement companies to promote their goods over healthy eating.0

how did u get on mhuk
i still reckon avifrom is cheaper, i also find my protein ok, tmof cheap , whey constorium cheap to,
do u know of any other..
