Breadmaking - beginners questions!

Another question!

It's olive bread today...recipe says to add olives approx 32 mins into cycle when beeper goes off. I expected the thing to have stopped chugging at that stage but it hadn't. Is that right...when adding extra ingredients such as nuts/dried fruit you chuck 'em in whilst its still kneading?

The Morphy Richards book is not very clear on a lot of things

Yup that's fine. It will chug a bit longer to mix up your 'additions' with the dough. You can't add them earlier than the beeps though or it ends up pulverising your 'additions'

I don't think it would be a good idea to make scone mix in the BM,as you need to handle to mixture as little as possible. In the BM it would be overworked.

Im not familiar with the bread making machines as i use mixers but if you can take the dough out at this stage then nead the olives in. also add rosemary and thyme and sprinkle a little rock/sea salt on top, gives great taste.

At the risk of seeiming silly, why don't you just make it as it is? :o

I genuinely have no idea if it would work in a BM - sorry .

    Hello.

I am a newbie with a Hinari BM. I have just made some white loaves. The results are not disappointing. They taste delicious. However, I can't shake the loaf out of the container as mentioned in the recipe. As the result of this, my loavef has 2 holes, one at the bottom and another at one side as I use a knife to push the loaf out. What do you do to make a loaf be shaken out of the container easily? Should I grease some butter on the container like we always do with baking tin when we bake a cake?
