has anyone stayed in basic in hemsby before? most reviews are umm fairly bad but i suppose a holiday is what you make it but i think i will take everything except kitchen sink!

yep me and my daughter stayed at Hemsby last year and we are going again this year. We were right at the back of the complex - literally as far away as you could be! But it was quiet in our chalet anyway.

The place was pretty dated and in all honesty not very clean. I ALWAYS take and anti bac spray and my own bed covers, as well as making sure we both not go bare feet in the place.

The chalet is a base, somewhere to eat and sleep whilst you enjoy your holiday. The cleanliness is an issue with Pontins and if it is bad, then go and ask management at reception to sort it.

You will have a nice holiday, even if you have to give the place a quick clean (ie kitchen worktops and maybe table). Its basic - but its a free holiday - so would defintely still go if I were you. This will be out third time at Pontins this year, and we enjoyed it everytime.

We going 20 June...when are you off?

hi im just wondering if anyone has any free pontins holidays at camber sands that they cant go on. just tried phoning pontins but the comp has finished. As i go there every year i would be prepared to pay some money forone. thankyou joe

thanks char_student! we go on the 6th - 9th june last few days of my other half's week off from work, will take some cleaning materials with me and make sure i take my own bedding then i gotta feeling we are going to spend more time at the beach than at pontins fingers crossed will let you know how it goes!! hope you have a fab time too!!!

I've posted my confirmation slip back. It asked for it to be sent back, so for the price of a stamp, I've sent it.
