  • Nit so much stocking fillers but i have started buying a few things on bargain crazy for family members. Some of the toys are so much cheaper on there than anywhere else, and there are some great kids clothes for under £10, and also some rather stunning mop slippers to keep your feet warm and dust the floor at the same time! :D;)

  • I went to an NCT nearly new sale today and got loads of little trucks and also a garage which will be great for my 18 month old's main present.

At this age when they are plastic, a quick wipe over and they are perfect. I also got loads of books, videos and tapes so they will also go in the stocking.

I went to a couple of car boot sales today and realised just how many stocking fillers I could have bought! I had my daughter with me, so couldn't get anthing for her. Will need to go by myself next time!

Spare a thought for me, it's my little girl's birthday on Xmas Day too.......aargh. She will be 4 this year and once she is really clued up we will give her an unofficial birthday in the year. Despite telling grandparents not to buy much we still end up with bucket loads of presents all in the one day..

I used to have an unofficial birthday on 5 November when we would have a fireworks party but maybe not such a good idea nowadays when you are recommended to go to official displays.

As I was born at noon, we always had Christmas presents in the morning and then after visiting friends but before Christmas lunch it would be birthday time when I was given my birthday presents and a bit of me time.

My Mum used to decorate the Christmas cake half Christmas style and the other half was birthday with candles icon7.gif

Oh I like the idea of decorating the cake half Xmas style and half birthday, I might try that....or get the bakers to do it.

Bit like our local then. Apparently (other half told me ;)) that the table for the Christmas Menu's and bookings was laid out in the pub ........

.... at the end of August
