Thanks to all who have taken the time to reply
We think we are leaning towards the milupa milk but ideally would like to buy it ready made in large cartons like the SMA Gold (1 litre cartons)
We know it is more expensive, but both of us find very little time to make up formula from the powder (lazy isnt it)!
Does anybody know where or even if it can be purchased in 1 litre ready made cartons?
Cheers

Just to add my two were both fine on Farleys First.
It's really not difficult to use powder, you just add level scoops into a bottle containing the required volume of boiled water, put the top on and shake. Make as required if you only have one baby, no probs! Takes about as long as making a cuppa!
There is no need to prepare a days feeds in advance. Keep sterile bottles in the fridge (empty) and boil the kettle fairly regularly with fresh water in it. It's quicker to cool a feed than warm it up, stand in a jug of cold water.
I did used to keep ready made in the car glove box for emergencies, if we stayed out longer than originally planned, along with a disposable sterile bottle.

PS Check with HV but I had a friend who was advised to make the formula weaker ie add more water temporarily to combat similar problem0 -
hi mercman,
you can buy ready made formula all over the place - boots, asda etc. it comes in 250ml cartons and litre cartons. the 250ml ones are around 59p, they are around 7 oz. i keep one in my bag for emergencies but usually use powder. a friend said her baby hated the ready made, that it has a funny metallic taste from being sterilised or something but i don't think my baby has ever complained about it, he's had it 3 or 4 times. depending on how old the baby is and how much milk they want you might have to throw away some unused milk if you buy the litre cartons, i think you can only keep it in the fridge for 24 hours after you open it.52% tight0 -
Also just a quick note in case anyone doesnt know...
If you are on Working Family Tax Credit you can get your milk powder at your health centres at a reduced price - I didnt know for about 4 months! so just though i'd pass this info on.0
