  • No, it's a two way street.

    i dont feel guilty.

I once bid on a pram on the german ebay.de as I was visiting family and was taking my newborn over.

Lovely pram, even had a lullaby machine in the hood.

Paid the grand old price of €1 (62p).

As I was not in the country at the time when I won it I sent my cousin to pick it up and she said that the man was that annoyed he didnt even help her carry it down the stairs lol .

    still makes me chuckle!

    Crikey:rotfl: ......I think on that occasion i would've given a little extra.
Would you've been brave enough to collect it if you had been in the country?

What I'd like to know is how you get such bargains!!! I find ebay an expensive place to shop and often "lose" because people are willing to pay more than you would if you shopped around for the best price or bought at Costco or Makro.

A beautiful mirror I sold is still an unspeakable occurence with Mr Chalky. We paid over £100 for it but when we redecorated it didn't go ( Well I thought so - are you getting the picture!!!)
Well as we all know ebay is a funny old place and reserves etc make higher costs for the seller etc and some of the best sales I have had has been with a 99p start. Not this time . The bloke was so embaressed but also soooooooooo delighted when he gave me a £1 coin and made a hasty retreat before Mr Chalky wrestled him for it.
Try and do a good deed every day.

its swings and round abouts last weekend I sold 2 bundles of 9-12 month clothes and a brand new pack of sleepsuits 12-18m for the grand total of 99p each and I had already agreed the buyer collect so she came with her £3 and I handed over a big box of stuff on the same day I won a brand new dorothy perkins cocktail dress price tag was £35 for the grand total of 2.76 so all in all I am pleased. lesson to be learnt never list stuff to end during a mini heatwave because people are not there to bid and the other lesson is save your skin stay out of the sun and grab some bargains :D:D
