Bargains on ebay-do you ever feel guilty?

I bought an item on ebay this week, in the last minute of the auction. It was brand new, tags attached and I landed lucky and got it for the opening bid of 99p. I'd placed a higher bid, but obviously no one else did so I got it for 99p.
Today I received the item with a note from the seller, saying she hoped my daughter enjoyed the item.
Had I bought new from the shop it would have been in the region of £25, and these things usually do command a good price.
I did feel a twinge of guilt - which admittedly didn't last long as I reckon with ebay your start price should be the minimum you'll accept - does anyone else get an attack of the guilts?

I bought a bottle of very expensive Guerlain perfume for a low price, but salved my conscience a bit cos I knew the seller would make a bit on p&p. The perfume arrived beautifully packaged, with a £2 coin refund for over-estimating the p&p!0

Don't feel guilty, people who sell stuff that cheap are just trying to get rid of it - and they made 99p more than throwing it in the bin - and know that it's gone to a new home.
If people are concerned about the amount their items are gonna sell for, they'll put a high starting bid or reserve.0 -
Not too guilty - I've let plenty of items go for 99p over the last 3 years I've been on the 'bay. Generally avoid starting collection only items at that price as I once sold a 1960's rocking horse for that
.
Bought a pair of brand new, expensive slippers for 99p last year. Didn't feel guilty about that, but did feel a bit about the £1 postage I was charged. When they arrived, I discovered they'd cost about £3-4 to post  .
My best 99p buy was a cabin bed - it had already been dismantled, so seller hadn't taken any pics. My daughter decided after about a year that she's had enough of banging her head on the ceiling, so I listed it (with pictures) and sold it for nearly £50  .0 -

I totally agree with you-I think it was the wee note that did it!0 -
If I buy something rediculously cheap I'll give a bit extra.
Feel good factor all round:beer: :j :A0 -
It's even worse on large items that you have to pick up - especially when you have to contain yourself when it's a great bargain!0

Never felt guilty over a BIN or auction price I've paid. I have on occasion sent a bit of extra money to cover postage when the seller has under-estimated it. But only if I got the item at a real bargain! For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also ...0

I felt a bit guilty when I bought a solid oak coffee table for £80. It was worth around £400 (OH is a joiner) and I had bid much higher, but I was the only bidder..0

I felt guilty that I won a practically new children's mid sleeper bed with play tunnel/ dolls house tent and orthopedic mattress for £1.20. I sent hubby to pick it up on Monday and it's gorgeous.:j
I've also won a humidifier for 99p and 2 four seater sofas for £2.00
I do get a bit embarrassed when i'm collecting- but I think people should start their auctions of at the lowest they are willing to take."Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye."...Miss piggy0 -
as said above most ppl are just happy to get rid of and a quid is better then chucking in the bin / laying around at home.
on the other hand if you wanted more than you need to set a higher minimum price and pay the extra ebay costs.0
