to find something I could cook individual crimbo cakes in:rolleyes: ...little terracotta plant pots would probably work cuz you can do bread in those can't you?

    Hi BMF!

How about small bean cans? They're just the right size for cake tins...

See! I knew folks would come up with some brilliant ideas:T

The original thought was to make little cakes for elderly rellies/neighbours, so I guess you can chose the size of tin to match the number of people in the home.

It would make a nice 'thinking of you' gift all year round too, wouldn't it:rolleyes: Me muvva lives on her own now, so IF I remember, I'll have a go with something during my next bake-sesh. *goes off to rescue tins from recycling*

    Hi cookiedough!

Don't see why not - the cakes would just be a bit wider and a bit thinner, I suppose! :D

    Maybe for mini-Victoria sponges?

we've looked out the scented oil and pinecones and are going to paint them next week, seal them in bags and take them out at the start of december when they should smell really nice (like the bags of cinnamon scented ones that dobbies charge 12 pounds for)
