thankyou duchy and tesscha. Duchy/..... I did get out in my garden yesterday and tended to my lillies and vegetables, hung washing out etc so I am getting better....also I know I have nice neighbours....didnt mean to sound ungrateful, just not much conversation because she has senile dimensia, so its usually the same thing, but all the same conversation is conversation and they are all friendly. I did deliberately go out there when my neighbour over the back was out, but he didn't speak to me, he usually doesnt unless my OH is out there too, but hey, I'm trying :-) thanks again x

Just think how good you'll feel once you've done it! Keep telling yourself that you've obviously got something they're looking for and you deserve this job.

I'm doing a spot of mystery shopping myself, and voluntary work with the cat shelter. I'm also fostering a gorgeous kitten ...

Wow Bashful, I am genuinely shocked to hear you've taken the plunge and got yourself a job interview. Not that it's a bad thing, I just wasn't expecting to hear it so soon. Maybe all the positive feedback on here has boosted you up!

I would honestly suggest counselling. Not because you're a fruit loop, you seem quite normal to me, but I've worked in this area for years and I think you'd be surprised how affirming and supportive it is. Good luck in everything, not just the job interview.....

OMG! I was shocked to see all these comments......You've all made my day :-) Chollita: I'd love to volunteer at a cat shelter....how did you find that??!! And you get to foster a kitten....I have 2 cats...although 1 thinks he is my baby rather than a cat...well done you :-) Sinderella: I am shocked too....No one seems to realise what a step it is, so when I came on here and saw all these comments,it really did make me happy, so thankyou. Im not sure about counselling, my family have been trying to get me to speak to someone (apparently I dont talk about my feelings and I bottle things up!) I'm just not sure that would help,I just need to kick myself up the bottom. I do have a deal with my OH, though, he is going to go to the docs about his depression and his temper, and he is going to mention me, and if they suggest I go, I will. and lastly, but not leastly thankyou jo_b and lizzieanne, its nice to have some support. So I got all nervous, was sick a couple of times, hardly slept, got up early, had a shower, started to get ready, when I got a phone call, and was told that my interview was cancelled....what are the chances!!!!! It is now next week instead!!!!! I'll keep you posted, thanks again all of you :-)

How infuriating is that! You get yourself all psyched up and they cancel it ... ah well, maybe you won't be so nervous next time.

I live near the shelter, saw their website address, had a look and ... the rest is history. There's a photo of Mayo on the depression thread (health board), if you want to see her.

I keep looking at jobs on sites that I would love to do, but then the fear of actually going outside overwhelms me. I hope one day I can manage to get a job interview.
