I agree with the others on here who have suggested Olu Deniz, I was very weary about Turkey before I went there but it completely won me over.
And if you're asking about the excursions in Olu Deniz, then yes they are easy to book and there are loads of different companies and they are all open of an evening.0 -
I went to Marmaris in September 2006, stayed at the Cem Aparts and thoroughly enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of going back the following year (there's too many places in the world to keep going back to the same one) and stayed at the Golden Orange 11 and it was awful! We thought we'd have a day in Icmelar, but after a few hours we were bored to death. Don't get me wrong it's a nice place if you fancy a drink and something to eat, but I wanted adventure and I didn't find it there.
Don't forget barter for absolutely everything! Check your bill & watch your change. Enjoy!
I'm in me prime too and I was ok-ish (my very large husband was there) there was an incident at the Turkish bath where a young boy insisted on keep picking me up and swinging me around, and he appeared to have something in his pocket :eek:0 -
Hello,
Does anyone know if the day excursions are easy to book? We're arriving in the evening and were hoping to get the excursions booked that evening, are the tour booking places open 'til late?
They're open until very late at night Cat. Don't forget to barter for your trips too! We got some of our boat trips for as little as £6 - I'm good at this bartering thing
If you do the scuba diving check your disc (if you buy one) as last year we ended up with someone elses photos  Although they've stopped doing the original jeep safari as it was said to be be too dangerous - it wasn't, but I'll never forget it  You can still book a jeep safari but don't wear your best clothes & don't buy a water pistol get a bucket

I'm thinking about a week long holiday for middle of November. Will Turkey be too cool at this time of the year?0
