Oldstylers: Could I be your greatest ever challenge?

I recently bought my first ever chopping board. Never seen the point of them before as I used plates or just kitchen paper. This was another purchase when I bought the breadmaker.
I thought I needed all this stuff I've not managed to use yet and got: breadknife, chopping board and a plastic box to keep the bread in. So far I've made 2 loaves (one didn't even mix/make dough, but just cooked the gloop; 2nd one jammed into the paddle and had to be scooped out). So far then, not needed the knife as there was no loaf to cut; nor the chopping board for the same reason; also no resulting loaf to be stored in the plastic box, which was WAY too big anyway as I was guessing how big a loaf would be and I was wrong)
I got a Tesco Value range one for about £1.
You chop things on it. It goes in the cupboard. It's not an investment in a lifestyle.0 -
Well I've got my TV stand! Plus I've ordered my iPod speakers.
Also ordered these knives coz I like the wooden block! :rotfl:

Have got myself on a few mailing lists with letting agents aswell! :T
Estimate I have got about £500 left for; microwave, toaster, kettle, ironing board, all kitchen bits other than set of knives and pans. Then anything boring like curtains or a lamp or something.0 -

You're nuts you are:p
It makes a change for me though. 3 years ago I would have just bought the most expensive thing I saw first. Now I hate spending money (actually that's not strictly true coz I'm having a blast but I've saved up this time) so I have to deliberate.
Haven't found any cuttlery (well there was some in Tesco, £20 for a 6 lots) or crockery yet. :think:0 -

If you haven't already
Get as much info from your mother, as to how things work and what to wash with what etc.
Get stuff off freecycle in your area
Look for sales / 10% off days etc for thehouse hold type stuff, ask your mother if she has any spare stuff.
