I have these tans when I am going away and they are lovely.
I go for the 60 second in a booth one.
    Be warned-the spray is freezing!
And go for level 2 if you are an english rose complexion, level 3 is too tango-tastic!
  • Did some one mention a free bottle of wine?
Strada in Manchester is excellent, though deserted (and the whole development looks like part of an architectural drawing) - let's hope this offer pulls some other people in to eat there.
  • I am really shocked!!
It has worked, I phoned my local tanning shop (from the link supplied)the girl was great, I have booked in for week on friday...I've told my sister & my best mate too.........
Only hope I can get the magazine now!!

My copy only cost £1 too - the £1 is printed on the magazine so I would imagine its the same everywhere?

I got the last copy though :D I rang the Coventry branch of the Tanning Shop as I will be there on Saturday and was told I don't need to book, just turn up on Saturday afternoon (I suppose it does only take 60 seconds to apply!) The lady on the phone told me to exfoliate really well before I go. So I suppose my only other expense is an exfoliating glove :j

Oh, and i've never tried a spray tan before but have been curious what it would look like on me! (I am rather pale most of the time!)
    ridge,

thanks for all the info ,i shall have to see if we have one in cambridge,

  • do you know what time they open til? Im trying to get through now, been trying for 1/2 an hour
    8pm.

I went in about 6.45, and it was mega busy in there, and I think the girls were struggling to keep up with the phones

They were really nice and helpful, and are happy to deal with folk, just a little overwhelmed with the volume.

I'm booked in a week Friday, but this suits me - they have plenty of slots free
So many glitches, so little time...

as a beauty therapist i use st tropez tanning spray it is fantastic for psoriasis and it lasts 5-7 days for everyone regardless the the secret to make it last longer is to exfoliate thoroughly i use radox exfoliating shower gel and moisurise with any body moisturiser the cheaper ones are usually the best like the ones from lidl and aldi or even tesco own make

Thanks for that, Annie. But, as a flakey, I have difficulty using shower gel (I can only use coal tar) and I can't use moisturiser - so I use aqueous cream instead (is that OK with tanning treatments?).

Also, do you advise to exfoliate AND moisturise BEFORE tanning or .... exfoliate BEFORE tanning and moisturise AFTERWARDS (with aqueous, obviously)?
  • Hi all
As a spray Tan therapist I thought I would drop you a few handy hints to get the best from your spray tan, booth or therapist

    Women: and Men
If your going to shave/wax anywhere on your body, do it at least 12 hrs before

Exfoliate well paying particular attention to your knees, elbow, ankle and any other dry areas

moisturise well the night before and after your exfoliation NOT ON THE DAY

    Remove makeup, moisturiser perfume deodorant

    Remove contact lenses during session

Wear loose fitting dark clothing to wear after,

If your driving home it may be worth covering the seats in your car, esp if they are leather and light.

Avoid wearing socks or shoes after your tan...sandals are good

Dont shave until 12 hrs after your treatment

When you shower you will see some colour wash off, this is normal

    swimming can fade results

****Spray tans DONOT provide any sunscreen protection****

After youve washed the guide colour off, to prolong the tan

    MOISTURISE, MOISTURISE, MOISTURISE

    and ENJOY YOUR TAN:j
